If you've been anywhere near the internet recently, you'll know that Prime Energy drinks are all the rage and their popularity is only growing.

So much so that one woman decided to spend £1,200 on crates of the stuff from the controversial Wakefield shop Wakey Wines.

Bit of a rip off you would have thought, but she looked delighted with her purchase:

News of the woman's staggering purchase was revealed by the shop on TikTok - before the shop got banned from the social media platform.

The video sees the shopkeeper standing with the customer and asking her and her friend where they've travelled from.

Turns out they'd trekked all the way from Sheffield - about a 45 minute drive - to nab a stash of KSI and Logan Paul's viral energy drink.

"What made you come from Sheffield?" the shopkeeper asks.

"I've come for my cans of Prime," the woman reveals, before her friend adds that she'd made the journey for 'some sweets'.

Placing a hand on the crate, the shopkeeper says: "You've got 12 packs and you'll give me £1,200 for that."

The shopkeeper then tells the woman she is the first person from Sheffield to make such a large Prime purchase and thanks her for her custom.

"What's the best shop in Wakey?" he asks.

"Wakey Wines!" the women shout.

Now, on the off chance that you're wondering what exactly Prime Energy drinks are, let us explain.

The popular drinks are the brainchild of YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI, who recently launched a new energy drink version that comes in cans.

The new drink packs in a heart-pounding 200mg of caffeine, double the electrolytes of the original Prime drink, and zero sugar.

However, the drink is at the centre of some controversy after people began buying the products and selling them for a profit.

Wakey Wines, which has now been banned from TikTok, is in the firing line for this very practice after they advertised cans of the drink - which retail for £2 each or £24.99 a crate - for £100.

The shop was even slammed by Prime founder KSI, who said that their massive markup, which has been made possible by the drinks' popularity, was 'outrageous'.

He said: "No do not pay that much for Prime, I know people want Prime OK, just wait or camp out Asda nice and early, get in Asda nice and early and pay £2, OK, £2 for prime.

"£2 is way better than £25 bro, why. Come on man this is outrageous. You should not be paying £25 for one bottle of Prime."

Announcing their TikTok ban on Instagram, Wakey Wines wrote: "I have now been banned off TikTok at 500k I've been working so hard for this.

"All of my videos are all for fun, I saw a business idea with WFD sweets just like any other business man and I took the opportunity.

"Some jealous horrible people. Please report these posts and help me!

"Thank you to my fans always, Wakey Wines."
