Boxing fans are convinced they know who'll win when Anthony Joshua takes on Francis Ngannou tonight (8 March), after Drake placed a sizeable bet.

After all, Drake does have an interesting track record when it comes to bets.

Ngannou will take on Joshua tonight (8 March), with the pair going head to head in Saudi Arabia.

The fight comes after Joshua was beaten by Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022, which saw him lose his WBO, IBF, IBO and WBA belts in the process.

But more recently, AJ has had a winning streak, beating Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin.

Now, he will take on Ngannou, who lost to Tyson Fury in December in a controversial split decision.

And it seems rapper Drake is backing Ngannou all the way, after placing a £500K wager on Ngannou beating AJ.

If he does win, Drake will rake in £1.5 million.

But Drake's previous bets haven't ended quite so well, with the rapper losing so many that people are actually calling it the 'Drake curse'.

For example, Drake placed an $850,000 bet for Logan Paul to knock out Dillon Danis back in October, but Paul actually won the fight after Danis was disqualified.

He also bet that Jake Paul would win against British boxer Tommy Fury - and placed a huge $400,000 (£311,000) bet on him doing so by knockout. But Fury emerged as the champion.

Meanwhile, most recently, he placed a $700,000 (£661,000) wager on Sean Strickland winning his middleweight title to Dricus du Plessis - but unfortunately for Drake, he lost.

Drake's track record has led fans to believe that actually, AJ will be victorious.

One wrote: "Drake bet on Ngannou so Joshua is going to win now."

While another said: "There's no worse better than Drake. Bet the house on Joshua."

And a third added: "Reminder: anything Drake bets on is always a lost... Now rebet that game and carry Joshua to win."

But Drake did have some success more recently, so perhaps the curse is over?

The rapper placed a mega bet that the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl.

Drake placed a whopping $1.15 million (£910,535) bet on the match.

It's estimated the rapper picked up a $2.346 million (£1,857,680) pay-out - a gain of $1.196 million (£947,052) - for the Chiefs' win.

Could Drake be on to a winning streak?
