Long before the World Cup kicked off last week there’s been plenty for Brits to do their favourite thing over – complain.
We’ve been treated to expensive travel costs, crazy ticket prices, hot weather and ‘disrupted’ games and of course, there’s the pints.
Even when matches are here in the UK football fans will find themselves bellowing ‘how much?!?’ at the stadium bars and it’s fair to say we were expecting much of the same for the World Cup.
And now we’re getting a better look at how much a drink is going to put fans out of pocket when England play their first game of the tournament.

The lads are set to play Croatia on Wednesday (17 June) at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. But while they’ll have to wait to complain about the starting 11, fans are already calling out the ‘f**king shocking’ prices.

Netherlands played Japan at the stadium yesterday for the Group F opener and fans were quick to snap photos of the bar menu, poised to go viral on X.
A pint of ‘American Beer’ is listed at $15.95 – that’s a mega £11.88 according to the latest exchange rates. And a ‘Craft / Import beer’ will set fans back $16.95 (£12.63).
But those looking for a simple draft beer are said to be forking out a whopper $18.50 (£13.78).
Yeah I know, try and pick your jaw up off the floor if you can.
Even those wanting a non-alcoholic beer are still said to be set back $16.95 while a 20oz bottle of water comes in at the high $8.25 (£6.15).
That’s just a little less than a 20oz Sparkling Soft Drink or Sports Drink priced at $8.50 (£6.33).
And even though we all want to pretend to be surprised at how expensive all these drinks are, in reality, let’s be honest, we all saw this coming.

But it’s still got people riled up as one wrote on X: “F**king shocking, but not really shocking.”
“Seen worse but water at $8.25 is criminal,” one slammed.
Another put: “17 dollars for a beer f**king hell.”
“Rip off prices,” a third wrote as many called it ‘daylight robbery’.
While some said: “And idiots will still pay it.”
Others however reckon it’s relatively normal to be paying over a tenner for a pint at the footie, with many agreeing: “Seems alright tbf. A bit high but what you would expect attending a sporting event.”
