Super Bowl LVIII took place last night in Las Vegas, and some viewers were not pleased with the outcome.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime, winning their third Super Bowl title in just five years.

Marking only the second time in history the Super Bowl has gone into overtime, the Chiefs won through a touchdown pass by star player Patrick Mahomes to Mecole Hardman Jr.

Taylor Swift was in attendance to see boyfriend Travis Kelce lift the Vince Lombardi trophy alongside his teammates for the third time in his career after question marks over her attendance.

In a thrilling game, the 49ers were up 10-3 at half-time, before Mahomes locked in and changed the game for the Chiefs, en route to his third Super Bowl win and MVP.

The game dramatically went into two overtime periods, serving as a great advertisement for the sport of American Football, with the viewership this year expected to surpass last year's total of 115 million.

But some viewers didn't feel this way.

Some viewers felt that the game was rigged.

In fact, a lot of fans thought that the game was rigged, with it being the only time in history that the Super Bowl went into two overtimes.

They took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts.

One said: "This sh*t is so f***ing rigged i am sick to my stomach".

Another posted: "F***ing stupid disgusting fixed game".

A third put: "NFL IS NOT A REAL SPORT, THIS SH*T WAS SCRIPTED FOR CHIEFS TO WIN".

Another user simply stated: "49ers fans Super Bowl was rigged".

The backlash didn't stop Chiefs players from celebrating their hearts out on the pitch, with Mahomes already eyeing a three-peat.

"The goals always been to get three," Kelce also said after the win. "I'll see y'all next year."

Regardless of the drama around the game, it also featured a comeback - something that even non-sports fans could enjoy, as several celebrities were spotted in the crowd.

Kelce and his girlfriend Swift were seen whispering to each other and sharing a passionate kiss on the field following the dramatic win, with the couple grabbing even more media attention.

Swift could also be seen downing a beer during the game. Respect.

Usher headlined the halftime show, though he was not paid for his short appearance, and as usual, star-studded adverts were on show during the breaks.
