Elon Musk clapped back at Anonymous after sitting on a warning they issued for months.

The ‘hacktivist’ group are well known online for exposing corruption, having recently made headlines for a ‘red flag’ warning they issued over Donald Trump.

Anonymous referred to the US president’s relationship with Vladimir Putin as a ‘love fest’ and also threw in Elon Musk’s name.

They said he was ‘now pulling the strings in the US government's so called 'department of government efficiency'.'

But it’s certainly not the first time the Tesla boss has been featured in their viral warnings, as Anonymous previously shared a warning about his plans for Twitter.

Anyone who has spent any amount of time on the social media site will know Musk has a bit of a tendency for sharing controversial posts and streams of shares. And the controversy on there has followed him for years, long before he purchased Twitter back in October 2022.

So, it was hardly a surprise when he hit back at Anonymous in November last year.

Following Trump’s win in the election, he decided to drag up a post the hacking group had shared months before in August.

They wrote: “When Trump loses the election, Elon is going to dissolve and liquidate Twitter.”

Of course, that never happened (this time round anyway) and Musk said in his response: “Change your handle to @YourLibtardNews. It’s more accurate.”

We can pretty much all assume that the tech big boss must have had that post saved in his bookmarks, as it’s relatively petty to drag it up after all that time. So, we can perhaps also assume it struck a bit of a chord with him.

With his post going viral at the time, it divided users and of course, Anonymous were among the responders as they shared a flurry of replies.

One argued ‘you're literally a neo-liberal bro lol’ in response to the 'Lib' aspect of Musk's proposed handle, while another thanked the billionaire for the group's new 'Twitter livestream name'.

The main response advised he simply avert his attention and cash elsewhere: “Thanks for the suggestion, how about helping some homeless and poor people with all those unlimited funds ya got? Call us all the names you want - but helping the poor is always the right thing to do."

Calling him out again in their recent warning, Anonymous reminded users that ‘no one voted for Elon on a ballot’ as they added: “His self-styled crusade is nothing more than a bulls**t narrative crafted to justify his own power grab.”
