Tom Hardy is returning to MobLand after all.
Last month, it was reported that Hardy had been dropped from the third season of the popular Paramount+ crime show, with Puck News claiming he was given the sack for showing up late to set and being difficult to work with.
It was also alleged that Hardy had given notes on scripts and attempted to change dialogue, leading to a showdown with producer Jez Butterworth, while The Hollywood Reporter suggested the 48-year-old's decision to refuse to leave his trailer for hours at a time had been 'career suicide'.
Variety later disputed the initial reports, claiming that Hardy was not fired and things were being worked out to allow his return to the show.

It's understood the breakdown in the working relationship occurred during season two, which is yet to premiere.
However, it would appear the network has since u-turned on the plan to axe Hardy, with Deadline reporting that the Venom actor will now be returning for a third season.

The outlet revealed that Hardy, Butterworth and series executive producer David Glasser had recently met up in London, with it being decided that the dynamic of the show's leading characters was too important to change.
Sources added that executive producer Guy Ritchie was involved in building bridges between Hardy and the rest of the crew.
Helen Mirren debunks claims of a feud with Tom Hardy
After the initial news reports broke, Hardy's castmate Helen Mirren shared her support for the actor on Instagram.
Sharing an image of Hardy on her Instagram story, she wrote: "Things I love: 1. Christmas for obvious reasons. 2. Tom Hardy for his brilliance onscreen, his dedication off screen, his good heart and especially the HardyHugs I get when onset with him which is not nearly enough in my opinion. Things I hate: 1. Swede (the vegetable). 2. Bad journalism."

Mirren had previously been mentioned in reports around Hardy's alleged conduct on set, with a source telling MailOnline that The Thursday Murder Club actor had been annoyed by Hardy's apparent tardiness.
"He can be late to filming and that is annoying for Dame Helen, who is extremely professional and disciplined," the source claimed.
"She expects better. She holds people to a high standard. She’s 80. She’s been there and seen it all."
The source then went on to claim that behind-the-scenes crew had picked up- on the vibe, adding: "The behind-the-scenes crew watch it all and believe that she no longer looks as happy working on scenes with him. It has all become quite personal between them.
"It’s a fantastic show and everyone loves working on it. It’s such a shame there is this undertone."
