Gogglebox fans were delighted last night when the show introduced another star, the newborn baby son of Pete Sandiford.
Obviously, the youngster didn't offer up much in the way of sparkling chat or wit, but he's not very old, and has got ages to grow into the role.
To be fair, he did at least at a touch of humour to proceeding by soiling himself on screen, much to the amusement of Pete, his sister Sophie, and the viewers.
As the episode opened, Pete and Sophie could be seen sitting in the familiar surroundings of their living room, but this time Pete was holding the young boy, who seemed fairly non-plussed by his first ever TV appearance.
A natural, you might say.
Then, the pair broke out into loud fits of giggles when the baby farted.
Aw the baby :heart_eyes: congratulations to Pete & his partner :blue_heart: #gogglebox

It seems there might have been a bit more to it than that, with Pete claiming he 's***ted'.
Well, that is what babies do, after all.
It's definitely one to show him on the 18th birthday.

Anyway, the viewers were quickly as smitten as Pete and his sister, with one person tweeting: "Oh my goddd [sic] how cute is @Petesandiford baby boy #googlebox,"
Another wrote: "Oh Pete mate! What a great start to a new #Gogglebox series. Your boy is a smasher."
Can't believe Pete is a dad now. Time flies. :sob::heart_eyes: #Gogglebox https://t.co/17rJ41hhcI

Sandiford opened up about the new addition to his family at the National TV Awards back on September 9, telling The Mirror that he was 'overwhelmed' with becoming a father, but was enjoying looking after the 'cool lad'.
He said: "It's a bit overwhelming, got it all going on at the moment!
"He's a cool little lad, takes after his mum not me!"
However, he's not immune to the troubles faced by all parents of newborn babies, and hasn't been getting in a lot of kip.
He said: "I've been up all night, I slept on the train here - got suitcases under my eyes, you just got me at a good time now."
