The names of numerous high-profile Brits appeared in the latest batch of Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice.
The monikers of film stars, musicians, entrepreneurs, politicians and royal family members feature in the new batch of documents, which were publicised last Friday (30 January).
In the wake of the latest release, people have been browsing through Jeffrey Epstein's emails, trying to decode some of his correspondence and analysing the array of 'disturbing' photos that were shared.
Being mentioned in the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing, and it does not mean that the person shared a relationship with him, had any knowledge of his crimes, or ever met him.

However, it does give us an indication of the high-powered circles the convicted sex offender tried to integrate himself into, and how far he thought his influence reached.
The names of more than a dozen famous faces who hail from the UK were included in the files, according to The Mirror.
Peter Mandelson

Labour party politician Peter Mandelson, who was sacked from his role as British ambassador to the United States last year, is being investigated for alleged misconduct in a public office due to his association with Epstein.
Emails from 2009 appear to show him sharing sensitive economic information with the disgraced businessman during the financial crisis.
Lord Mandelson told the BBC he regrets 'ever having known Epstein', insisted he was 'never culpable or complicit in' his crimes and claimed he only 'learned the actual truth about him after his death'.
The broadcaster said he maintains he did not act criminally and that his actions were not for personal gain.
Richard Branson

Virgin Group founder Richard Branson crops up hundreds of times in the files, while emails from 2013 show him gushing about how it was 'really nice' to see Epstein.
"Any time you’re in the area would love to see you," the billionaire wrote. "As long as you bring your harem!"
A spokesperson for Branson claimed he 'regrettably' used the term harem to refer to three adult women who worked for Epstein, while suggesting he was just copying the sex offender.
His representative said the pair were only in contact on 'a few occasions more than 12 years ago' and that Branson 'believes that Epstein’s actions were abhorrent and supports the right to justice for his many victims'.
Stephen Hawking

The late theoretical astrophysicist Stephen Hawking is also mentioned hundreds of times in the documents related to Epstein, reports claim.
The files show how Epstein emailed his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015, asking her to help gather proof that the famous scientist did not 'participate in an underage orgy'.
Hawking has not been accused of any wrongdoing, and he passed away in 2018.
Gordon Brown

The name of former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown appears dozens of times.
Most of these mentions come from Mandelson, who appeared to offer insight into the situation at Downing Street before Brown resigned in 2010.
Brown has since told The Guardian that he 'greatly regrets' appointing Mandelson as business secretary, accusing him of making 'a betrayal of everything we stand for as a country' by allegedly colluding with Epstein.
"I have to take personal responsibility for appointing Mandelson to his ministerial role in 2008," he said. "I greatly regret this appointment. I was informed that his record in the role was unblemished and there were no reports of a relationship with anyone named Epstein."
Colin Firth

Bridget Jones star Colin Firth's name was included in the document dumps, too.
An email from November 2010 appears to show publicist Peggy Siegal informing Epstein of the details of a private screening of The King's Speech for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
She suggested organising a 'very private, small, no press screening' of the film, which sees Firth star as the royal's grandfather, King George VI.
Siegal wrote: "As per our phone conversation, Prince Andrew will be in the states Nov 29-Dec 5. We will get a print of The King’s Speech from Harvey Weinstein. Tell Prince Andrew the film, and Colin Firth who portrays his grandfather, is going to win the Oscar. Xoxo, Peggy."
Sarah Ferguson

A flurry of correspondence between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's former wife Sarah Ferguson and Epstein was exposed in the latest release.
The disgraced financier referred to the ex-Duchess of York as 'Sarah' and 'Fergie' in the array of emails.
In some messages, Ferguson told him she felt 'very traumatised and alone' and appeared to suggest Epstein should recruit her to 'organise his houses'.
Epstein also discussed her with his associates, with one email saying: "Getting financials for Fergie is painful. Incredible mess. I'm on it but for sure completeness will always remain questionable."
Sir Mick Jagger

Images of Sir Mick Jagger were included in past document dumps, while his name also reared its head. The Rolling Stones rocker's name was previously mentioned at least nine times.
In 2011, Epstein discussed his plans to find out whether a number of famous performers were 'in town' and Jagger's name was among them. There is no indication that he knew Epstein.
Adele

'Rolling in the Deep' singer Adele appears several times, as her name was included in emails sent between Epstein and a publicist.
Again, being mentioned in the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing and does not automatically suggest the person shared a relationship with him.
David Cameron

David Cameron, who served as the UK Prime Minister between 2010 and 2016, was named 19 times.
Sir David Beckham

Football star Sir David Beckham got a mention nine times, with the Mirror reporting that one of these mentions was part of a conversation between Epstein and Boris Nikolic about philanthropy in 2014, where Nikolic sent Epstein an article about admired athletes. Being mentioned in the files does not suggest he knew or communicated with Epstein.
Princess Diana

The late Princess Diana's name appeared 14 times.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is mentioned hundreds of times, with his former friendship with Epstein well known.
Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles, has always denied having sex with Virginia Giuffre, a girl who was trafficked by Epstein when she was 17.
Queen Camilla

Queen Camilla is also mentioned nine times. Beyond the royals, there are major figures in British politics mentioned as well, including three former prime ministers.
Richard Dawkins

The God Delusion author Richard Dawkins is mentioned 29 times.
Sir Elton John

Sir Elton John gets eight mentions, which does not mean he knew met Epstein, as he also appears in articles that Epstein either sent people or received in his communications.
Nigel Farage

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is mentioned 18 times, as Epstein and former Trump advisor Steve Bannon discussed him in emails.
Naomi Campbell

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is also mentioned 10 times.
Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan's name appears nine times.
Tony Blair

Tony Blair, the UK's prime minister between 1997 and 2007, is mentioned 22 times.
Robert Maxwell

Maxwell's late father, Robert, who died in 1991, has his name appear 47 times.
