Police have issued a positive update in the search for a missing mum who vanished a week ago after she allegedly 'got in a taxi'.
Paige Kelly left her home in Leigh last Tuesday (23 September) and wasn't heard from again by her loved ones, with her being formally reported as missing three days later.
After the 27-year-old's family urged people in Greater Manchester to report any possible sightings, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the mum-of-one has been found 'safe and well'.
In a statement to LADbible today (30 September), a spokesperson for GMP said: "Following extensive enquiries since Paige was reported missing to us on 26 September, we can confirm she has been located this afternoon and is safe and well.

"Her family have been informed."

Her relatives previously described her sudden disappearance as 'completely out of character', saying that they believed Paige had no bag, coat or cash.
The mum was described as wearing a grey knitted dress and a scarf when she vanished.
Paige's aunt, Kate Kelly, explained that her niece left her five-year-old son with her boyfriend at the home they share in Leigh.

Kate further explained that they believed the mum was 'in a vulnerable state of mind', while adding that her loved ones were becoming 'extremely concerned for her welfare' as the days went on.
In a Facebook post calling on the public for assistance, the devastated aunt added that there had been a 'possible sighting' of Paige getting into a taxi early on Wednesday morning (24 September).

Kate said that this lead currently 'can’t be confirmed', but added that another reported sighting took place on St Helens Road at 8.30am the same day.
"As advised by the police, I’ll be printing posters off tomorrow and getting family and friends to help put them around," Kate said in the social media post.

Paige's relatives thanked the hundreds of people who shared their appeal, saying: "Your kindness hasn’t gone unnoticed. I thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart."
