A man decided to work out only one side of his body in a bid to see just what impact it would have on him.
Many of us want to get fit, but for the vast majority of people this would probably be on our entire bodies, not just one half of them.
But for YouTuber James Chewbonic, who said that he never been much of a gym goer before, he decided to take a slightly different approach to working out.
James wanted to try and only work out one half of his body, and to be clear no, we're not just talking about skipping leg day here.

This is still dividing the body in half, but lengthways rather than through the waist, so James would only be getting buff on one side, while the other remained unaffected, at least, that was the theory.
In the video posted to his YouTube channel, he explained that for 100 days he would only be training the left side of his body to see just how much of a difference it would make.

Would the result be negligible, or would he end up looking like some human fiddler crab?
James did this by tailoring exercises which could be focussed on one side of his body, such as a bicep curl, pistol squat, dumbbell chest press, and a side plank.
In a weird twist, James also tried to eat 'half healthy' by having half of his food and drink being keyed towards gains, and the other half being less good for your health.
Asked how he made sure it was only going to one side of his body, he replied: "That's a great question ... the answer is I'm not."
So how did it work out, or half work out, in the end?
After weeks of working out, he looked in the mirror and noticed that aesthetically, there didn't seem to be that much difference between one side and the other.

But what about the strength?
To test this, James compared holding a side plank on his weak side and his strong side.
On his weak side, he managed to hold the plank for one minute and 14 seconds.
But on the side where he'd been working out it was a different story entirely, with James managing to go for four minutes.
"That was one of my original goals at the start of this video ticked off," he said, "but I think it's fair to say that even if there's not much difference in the way my abs look, there is so much difference in the strength of them."
He concluded: "I have proven that if you work out half your body, then half your body gets stronger, what a revelation."
