The FBI has found a note at the spot where Charlie Kirk's suspected assassin hid before taking their fatal shot.
They have also made a DNA match to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, who wrote about plans to 'take out' the conservative figure before firing a single fatal shot at the political activist's neck.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the findings earlier today (15 September), with DNA supposedly matching the 22-year-old found on a towel covering the weapon when it was discarded.
In addition, a screwdriver was discovered in the sniper's nest on a roof, Patel said to Fox on Fox & Friends.
More DNA was found on the bolt-action hunting rifle, which authorities believe was used in last week's shooting, though it is still being analysed to confirm links to Robinson.

Patel continued to claim that authorities had been made aware of a 'text message exchange' between Robinson and a second individual, adding: "He claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for."
Authorities had previously uncovered disturbing messages between Robinson and his friends following Kirk's death.
Robinson was identified as the main suspect following Kirk's death at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University, with over 3,000 in attendance.
Following the single shot to the 31-year-old's neck, he was taken to hospital by his security team, though he ultimately would not make it.
President Donald Trump would then announce that his ally was dead, amidst an ongoing manhunt for the person responsible.
After just 33 hours, Robinson was apprehended after being turned in to the authorities by a person 'close' to him'.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox also shared that the suspect has remained silent since being taken in, noting that he was 'not cooperating'.

Speaking with CNN on Sunday (14 September), Cox was asked to be 'more specific' on claims around the suspect being 'deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology’.
Host Dana Bash pushed the governor for an update, to which he replied: “So that information comes from the people around him, from his family members and friends. That's how we got that information,
“Again, there's so much more that we're learning and so much more that we will learn. There will be -- official charges will be filed on Tuesday and there will be much more evidence and information available then.”
