New details have been released about a decomposing body which was found inside a Tesla owned by the singer D4vd.
The LAPD responded to a call on Monday (8 September) about a 'foul smell' coming from a vehicle which had been impounded at a Hollywood tow yard.
Officers inspected the car and found 'possible human remains' inside, prompting an investigation into the matter as a body had allegedly been placed inside a bag and stashed in the Tesla's boot.
ABC7 reports that the car is registered to the singer D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, and that it had been impounded at the tow yard for at least a couple of days.

D4vd is currently on tour with a gig in Kansas City, Missouri, on today (10 September), having previously appeared in Minnesota yesterday (9 September) while over the weekend he performed in Illinois (6 September) and Wisconsin (7 September).

The identity of the decomposing body found in the Tesla has not yet been confirmed, but a report on unidentified persons issued by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner determined that the body was a woman 62 inches tall (5'1) and weighing 71lbs.
Her hair was black but her eye colour and her ethnicity could not be determined as she had been 'severely decomposed'.
Their report said: "The decedent was found severely decomposed inside a vehicle on 9/8/2025.

"The decedent was wearing a tube top and black leggings (size small). She has wavy black hair. Jewelry includes yellow metal stud earring and w yellow metal chain bracelet."

They also noted that the woman had a tattoo on her right index finger which said 'Shhh...'.
D4vd's career started in 2022 as his songs 'Here with Me' and 'Romantic Homicide' became viral successes, while earlier this year he released his debut album Withered.

After that point, his tour takes him around the world for the rest of the year. D4vd has not been arrested as part of the investigation into the decomposing body.
A spokesperson for the singer told NBC that D4vd had 'been informed about what’s happened' and was 'fully cooperating with the authorities'.
