A US-based fast food chain has been forced to remove the number 67 from its ordering system, after being hounded by teens over the bizarre viral trend.
In-N-Out made the decision after youngsters started flocking to the West Coast burger chain to hear '67' called out, after the phrase became a worldwide phenomenon among Gen Alpha.
If you have no idea what the 67 meme is, you must have been living in an alternate universe or be over the age of 30. But even if you do know of it, you probably don't really know what it means. Does anyone?
Nevertheless, the meme is so widespread that Dictionary.com even made 67 the word of the year, but claims on where it actually came from differ, depending on who you speak to.

It's widely believed the term originated from rapper Skrilla as part of the lyrics in 'Doot Doot (6 7)', where he says: '6-7, I just bipped right on the highway,' while others think it has to do with official police codes and '10-67' meaning there's a dead body.
Regardless of where it came from, In-N-Out have had enough, with an employee at one of the Los Angeles branches confirming the number had been removed to People.
News of the ban first emerged on Reddit, when someone wrote: "While I was at work yesterday night, I noticed that every time I would get to number 66, and then get to the next customer it would just go to number 68, and it would skip 67. Now I'm curious on if or why they removed it."
Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long until other users made the connection, with many people commenting to point out the significance of the number, suggesting it was likely related to the meme.
One person wrote: "Viral 6-7 all the kids are yelling these days. My in n out also skips this after a while kids kept making a commotion when the number was called."
An In-N-Out employee has since confirmed the order number was removed around a month ago, after crowds of teens started lining up, eagerly waiting for the number to be called out. Interestingly, they said the number 69 had also been removed, though we can't think why that would be.
According to Dictionary.com the official definition of 67 reads: "While the term is largely nonsensical, some argue it means 'so-so,' or 'maybe this, maybe that,' especially when paired with a hand gesture where both palms face up and move alternately up and down.
"Because of its murky and shifting usage, it’s an example of brainrot slang and is intended to be nonsensical and playfully absurd."
