How Diddy's defence may 'use conflict in Middle East' to aid closing argument in sex trafficking case

Diddy's defence could use the conflict in the Middle East in their closing argument if Iran or Israel breaks the ceasefire agreement

Diddy's defence could be planning to use the conflict between Iran and Israel to aid their closing argument, according to reports.

TMZ reported yesterday (23 June) that Diddy's legal team could mention the Israel-Iran conflict in his sex trafficking trial.

The 55-year-old is facing five felony charges, including sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Sean Combs has pleaded not guilty to all five charges.

But with Donald Trump's ceasefire announcement overnight, Diddy's team might not be able to mention it after all - unless someone breaks it.

According to TMZ reports, Combs' lawyers were going to consider mentioning the conflict in their closing arguments.

Diddy's attorney was allegedly thinking of accusing Homeland Security Investigations of conducting a fabricated case of bedroom policing, and that it should focus more on pressing matters, like growing tensions between the US and Iran.

America bombed Iran's nuclear infrastructure over the weekend, and Iran responded in a co-ordinated attack on US bases in the Middle East yesterday (23 June).

It comes after Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Joseph Cerciello is expected to return to the stand for more cross-examination today (24 June). Closing arguments are expected to run through Thursday and Friday.

LADbible Group has contacted Sean Combs' attorney for comment.

On Tuesday evening, Trump said a ceasefire 'has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran'.

"In approximately six hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!" he wrote on Truth Social.

The president continued: "On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, “THE 12 DAY WAR.

"This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!

"God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!"

Now, although more civilians were sadly killed in the morning from air strikes, Iranian state television and Israel have said the ceasefire has begun.

Benjamin Netanyahu's administration says it has agreed to Trump's ceasefire proposal.

However, it noted that Israel will respond 'forcefully' to any violations of the ceasefire with Iran.
