Kamala Harris has revealed that she has unfinished business with the White House.
The former Vice-President stepped in for the Democrats after Joe Biden opted against seeking re-election, ultimately losing the race to Republican candidate and current US President Donald Trump.
However, the 61-year-old has not ruled out attempting to seek election to America's highest office in the future, confirming in a new interview that she is 'not done' with politics.
Harris sat down with the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg for an interview to promote her latest book 107 Days, and revealed her hopes of seeing the first female President of the United States elected.

The former California senator said she hoped that her grandnieces would see a female president 'in their lifetime for sure', prompting Kuenssberg to ask if she'd consider running again.

"Possibly," Harris replied, adding that while she's not made a final decision, her time in politics is not over.
"I am not done," she continued. "I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it's in my bones."
The odds of Harris being selected as the Democratic nominee for the 2028 presidential election remain low, with the attorney remaining an outsider in the race. However, Harris insisted that she does not listen to polls, adding: "If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office - and I certainly wouldn't be sitting here."

Harris isn't the only person who is reportedly considering another run at presidency, with speculation growing around whether or not Trump would attempt to seek a third term in the Oval Office.
Although the US Constitution currently prohibits a President for serving longer than two terms, Trump has publicly mulled the idea over numerous times, even going as far as selling 'Trump 2028' and '4 More Years' hats inside the White House.

The topic of a Trump third term came up again recently, after Steve Bannon claimed there was a 'plan' in place for the 79-year-old to be elected for a third time.
"He’s going to get a third term. Trump is going to be president in ‘28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that," Bannon, who served as Trump's Chief Strategist during his first term, told The Economist.

It's not clear how Trump would be able to seek this due to it being unconstitutional for a President to have three terms in office, and a US law professor recently suggested several scenarios to LADbible.
However, Bannon said a plan would be revealed at an 'appropriate time'.
"There’s many different alternatives. At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is, but there is a plan, and Trump will be the president in ‘28," he added.
