A report has revealed the final text messages sent by killer Mackenzie Shirilla to her boyfriend, who was killed when she crashed a car while driving at around 100mph.

Shirilla would go on to be arrested and convicted of murder following the tragic crash in her her boyfriend Dominic Russo and their friend Davion Flanagan were killed.

Detectives investigating the crash determined that Shirilla had driven her car into a wall at over 100mph, with prosecutors alleging that she had done so deliberately to end the relationship, though Shirilla has denied this in a Netflix documentary about the case, called The Crash.

Following the documentary's release the tragedy has again been thrust into the spotlight, with details now coming under renewed scrutiny.

This has included police body cam footage from Shirilla's arrest, as well as a tribute that she posted on social media after the crash.

But now, TMZ has obtained text messages sent between Shirilla and Dominic, whose relationship was painted in court as 'toxic'.

In her messages, she repeatedly asks 'wya', which is short for 'where you at?'.

The messages are not exactly brimming with affection and come across as quite short and cold.

Meanwhile in some of the earlier messages there is a very different tone altogether, with Shirilla saying 'I'm gonna kill someone', 'I'm mad as f*** rn', and 'THIS IS WHY I J WANNA F***ING KMS'.

In the new documentary Shirilla has denied murder, claiming that she had 'no intent' to kill Dominic and Davion in the crash.

Instead, the 21-year-old claims that she had a health episode which was connected to POTS, or postural tachycardia syndrome.

Since her conviction in July 2022, Shirilla has been imprisoned at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.

During the court case, prosecutors claimed that the location of the crash and the fact that Shirilla visited it a few days earlier, as well as the timing of the crash early in the morning when there was very little traffic, all suggested that it was on purpose.

Court documents said: “It is noted that Shirilla chose to drive early in the morning, when few people would be around to witness the accident or provide help. It concluded that Shirilla intentionally pressed the pedal to the floor, taking the car to nearly 100 mph and aiming the car at the brick wall.

“The court stated that it could only be speculated whether she intended to kill herself. But it concluded beyond a reasonable doubt that Shirilla acted purposefully and intentionally to kill Russo and Flanagan; her actions were ‘controlled, methodical, deliberate, intentional, and purposeful.’”
