After her mother, Nancy, was reportedly kidnapped from her home in the early hours of 1 February, Savannah Guthrie has shared an emotional new video.
An update came from the FBI on Friday (6 February), that a new message had been received regarding the 84-year-old.
The local Sheriff’s department previously confirmed that the Arizona home of the mum of the Today show host had been classed as a ‘crime scene’.
Taking Nancy’s physical abilities into account, it was believed to be unlikely she had wandered off and rather was potentially ‘kidnapped’ or ‘abducted’ from her bed.

While the details were not disclosed, the recent message claimed to be from the same senders as the initial one, sent to various news outlets when the woman went missing.

Posted yesterday, the video from Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, was directed to the senders as they said they ‘understand’ the message.
“We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her,” the TV news host said. “This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”
Savannah captioned the post: “Bring her home.”
Local outlet KOLD News/News13 received the second message regarding Nancy’s disappearance and explained it would not be releasing details ‘out of respect to the family’.
It added that the message had been forwarded to authorities along with the IP address, which does not match the one on the initial note. However, ‘it appears the sender used the same type of secure server to hide their IP address’.
“The new note contains information the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they’re the same people who sent the first note,” News 13 said.
And anchor for KOLD, Mary Coleman, said on X that the FBI ‘is currently reviewing it’.
She included a statement from PCSD: “The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie.
“Investigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity.
“While this is one new piece of information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff's Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
The first note was an alleged ransom note, which FBI Phoenix Special Agent in Charge Heith Janke previously said set a deadline of 5.00pm the evening of 5 February.
"If a transfer wasn’t made, the second demand was for next Monday,” he said at a press conference. “I’m not going to go beyond that.”
