Donald Trump has said Vladimir Putin keeps throwing 'bulls**t' his way as the US president sounded exasperated with the Russian dictator.
When Trump returned to the White House he claimed he would bring an end to the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 'day one' of his second term.
Many days on from the start of his second stint in the White House the end of the war is nowhere near in sight and Trump has appeared to grow increasingly exasperated with his Russian counterpart.

This Monday (7 July) he announced that the US would send more weapons to Ukraine, reversing a recent decision to pause important supplies to the country, and now he has spoken out against Putin more directly.
Trump said: "I don't know, we get a lot of bulls**t thrown at us by Putin if you want to know the truth. He's very nice all of the time but it turns out to be meaningless."
He told reporters yesterday (8 July) he was 'not happy with Putin, I can tell you that much right now', and that he was 'very strongly' considering a bill of sanctions against Russia.
The Pentagon had said on Monday that it was going to resume weapons shipments to Ukraine 'to ensure the Ukrainians can defend themselves while we work to secure a lasting peace and ensure the killing stops'.

On that same day Trump had said 'I'm not happy with Putin at all'.
A possible bill of sanctions could impose tariffs of up to 500 percent on goods imported from countries that buy Russian oil, which would have a particular impact on China and India.
Trump said he was 'looking' at the bill and insisted that it would succeed or fail depending on what he wanted to happen.

"It’s totally at my option. They pass it totally at my option, and to terminate totally at my option. And I’m looking at it very strongly," he said.

According to Politico, the US senate is likely to look at the sanctions bill once it is done with the 'big beautiful bill' that would radically change the American budget.
Trump talking about Putin's 'bulls**t' is not the first time he swore to reporters about the Russian dictator, previously saying he was 'p***ed off' with Putin before adding that his 'anger dissipates quickly... if he does the right thing'.
The US president also swore to reporters over the conflict between Israel and Iran, claiming that they 'don't know what the f**k they're doing' as he wanted them to stop attempts at retaliation.
