You'd think the US government might be a bit busy with the business of running a country of over 300 million people to clap back at Ariana Grande, but apparently not.
There's precious little time left for the White House to avert a potential government shutdown, but they do have time to respond to a famous singer asking people if they're happy with the current administration.
Wicked star Grande recently shared a post on Instagram asking Trump voters whether or not they were happy with the way the country was being run.
The post was originally made by someone called Matt Bernstein, Grande just shared it to her Instagram story, but the Trump administration has got a big enough bee in its bonnet that it decided to say something.

Speaking to TMZ, White House spokesperson Kush Desai claimed things were going well for the US and attacked Grande over the fees Ticketmaster was charging her fans.

"Save your tears, Ariana, because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments," Desai said.
"He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans. Get well soon, Ariana!"
If you want to dig into the figures, then US inflation is back up to 2.9 per cent in August, having fallen from three per cent at the start of 2025 to 2.3 per cent in April.

Employment figures for Americans were also revised down, the Guardian reports, which Trump claims were 'rigged in order to make the Republicans, and me, look bad'.
So it's not all hunky-dory in Trumpland.

Meanwhile, Trump himself has been complaining that an escalator at the United Nations stopped moving when he got on it, with him claiming it was an act of 'sabotage' and demanding that staff be 'arrested'.
He's also still got South Park on his case after getting Satan pregnant with a 'butt baby' (it makes sense in context), with him spending the latest episode trying to get rid of it.

Trump has also been talking about how pregnant women shouldn't take painkillers, claiming they cause autism, something doctors have been quick to say isn't a thing you need to be worried about.
When he's not busy getting mocked by South Park and making dubious claims about painkillers, he's been finding time to seethe about the return of Jimmy Kimmel.
