An actor has hit back at a director who insulted his flat during a Zoom audition - not realising he wasn't muted. Watch the uncomfortable scene here:
Lukas Gage was readying himself for a virtual audition in typical 2020 fashion when he heard the distant director slagging off his flat.

In a recording of the Zoom, the 25-year-old Euphoria actor can be seen staring into the camera as the anonymous director says: "These poor people live in these tiny apartments. Like I'm looking at his background, and he's got his TV and you know..."
At this point, Lukas interjects with a grimace and an awkward smile: "Yeah, unmuted."
He continues: "I know, it's a s***ty apartment. That's why [you should] give me this job, so I can get a better one."
The embarrassed director then replies: "Oh my god, I am so, so sorry... I'm so sorry."

Keen to play it down, and make the best of a bad situation, Lukas responds: "Listen, I'm living in a four-by-four box. It's fine, just give me the job, and we'll be fine."
The director can be heard saying he's 'mortified' and Lukas laughs as the video draws to a close.
Not a great deal more is known about the audition, the project or the director, but it seems likely Gage didn't get the part - given he shared the above clip on social media.

On Twitter, he captioned the video: "psa if youre a s*** talking director make sure to mute ur s*** on zoom mtgings [sic]."
The video has been watched three million times since he posted it yesterday (Friday), and he has received an outpouring of support.
Judd Apatow - director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Knocked Up (2007) and Funny People (2009) - retweeted the clip with the caption: "As a young man I would have dreamed of an apartment like this one. Look at that sweet flat screen! The guitar! The moldings!"
Actor Zelda Williams - daughter of the late Robin Williams - also urged directors to hire him.

She said: "Since @lukasgage is going viral on film twitter for being the graceful, quick-thinking sweetheart he is, I'd like to add for any (non-a**hole) directors looking that he's also a delight to work with, funny, talented and a blast on set. Hire this man!"
Well, it looks like Lukas might have dodged a bullet here, while also opening up lots of other doors.
