When you get to a certain age and you've been with someone for a couple of years or so people begin to ask two questions; when are you getting married and when are you going to try for a baby.
But what if you don't want kids? One couple, Nathalie Guzman and Andrés Flu, announced on Facebook that they were never going have children and even posted a picture of themselves with an appointment card for a vasectomy.
The committed couple said they wanted to 'contribute to the conservation of the planet because it is so overpopulated and damaged'.
Ok, so apart from the fact they felt the need to share this on social media, there's nothing too shocking going on, it's their choice.

But as sure as eggs is eggs, everyone felt the need to chime in, and the comments section went off.
The picture shared on Andrés's Facebook page, was posted with the caption: "We want to share with you the great joy. WE WILL NEVER BE PARENTS.
"We accept a life in which we will forever buy the toys for us, we can travel without limitations, walk naked around the house and more.
"However our main reason is not this, the most important is to contribute with the conservation of the planet that is so overpopulated and damaged.

"We will not bring one more human in to contaminate it. Whoo."
Nathalie added: "Guys, children are beautiful to me.
"If I wasn't affected by what I see every day, because sometimes it hurts me to breathe, to see so many children suffering in the street, so many drugs, violence and cruelty. Believe me, I would consider having one."

Not everyone was so supportive of their decision however.
One person wrote: "It seems to me that it's not an intelligent way to describe or explain why they don't want to have children. How are the children a contamination?"
One man commented: "What would be of you if your dad had done the same. Because a child is never a mistake, it's a blessing. They will never be happy. Selfish, at least have one."

"They don't know what they're missing," added another.
The Colombian couple did find some support in the comments though, with some people sympathetic to their concerns.
One wrote: "I dread the idea of bringing a human being into this world to live this life of slavery.

"We live to maintain a decadent society and its large corporations while the planet dies! It is a beautifully responsible decision."
Another added: "Congratulations!! The smartest!!! and empathetic of your part!!! I wish you good life!!!"
"We are a parasite in the world, we are more and more!!! If people realised that all the problems of the planet are for so many humans.... good decision I'm glad," wrote another concerned human.
