Heroic Husband Goes Viral After Becoming 'Human Chair' For Pregnant Wife

A selfless husband in China has gone viral after video footage emerged, showing him offering up his back as a chair for his heavily pregnant wife. Check out the clip below:

The clip, which has racked up over seven million views since it hit the web earlier this week, is believed to have been filmed in a hospital in Hegang, in north-eastern China's Heilongjiang Province.

It shows the couple standing in a crowded hospital corridor as they wait their turn for a pregnancy check-up.

The heavily pregnant wife can be seen pacing up and down the corridor in obvious discomfort and appears to struggle to remain on her feet as she succumbs to fatigue and an apparent numbing of the legs.

She grabs on to a railing on the wall in order to steady herself as the discomfort becomes too much to handle, but at the last minute the devoted husband sweeps in with a novel solution to alleviate his wife's pain.

Setting himself up against a wall, he stoically sits down cross-legged on the corridor floor and offers his back up as a makeshift seat for his suffering partner, who gladly accepts the offer and sits down, gaining some precious relief.

And if that wasn't enough to earn him a spot in the spousal hall of fame, he then offers his struggling partner a drink of water from a flask, of which she happily obliges.

The video was believed to have been captured by a hospital surveillance camera, and caused a storm when it was originally posted on Chinese Social Media.

Commentators on the original video also noticed how there were unoccupied chairs in the hallway, but they were too small and too close to the ground to provide the proper level of relief for the struggling wife, which prompted the husband's unorthodox solution to the problem.

And just think, if he's willing to go to these lengths to provide for his family now, then he's sure to be an amazing father and provider once his child is finally born. Well played, that man - what an absolute LAD.
