Interactive Map Shows Where In The UK Is Having Most Sex

The map, created by adult retailer Lovehoney, ranks 1,500 towns and cities in the UK based on how frisky the residents are

A new map will tell you about how much sex people in your area are having compared to everywhere else, and - let me tell you - it's good news if you live in one specific part of Hampshire.

The interactive map has been created by adult toy company Lovehoney, who have gone out of their way to find out where Britain's raunchiest area is by conducting some incredibly unusual research.

They analysed 1,500 UK towns and cities, before plotting them all out onto the map, meaning you can simply select the town where you live and see what the people near you are into.

It really does go into an incredible amount of detail about some of the practices that your neighbours - or you - could be getting up to on the regular.

Here's the road to the top of the list.

At the very top of this list is the town of Andover.

It had the biggest rise in activity of anywhere around the UK during lockdown, proving that once the country was in quarantine they found something to do to occupy themselves.

Just below them were the town of Tidworth in Wiltshire and Cornhill-upon-Tweed in Northumberland, right up on the north-east coast of England.

Sitting down at the bottom was the Lancastrian town of Nelson, with Smethwick in the West Midlands and Thornton Heath in Surrey rounding out the bottom three least sexy places.

Strangely enough, there are no less than four places in Yorkshire in the top 10 least sexually active towns and cities in the UK.

What does that say for the traditional stereotype of Yorkshire folk, eh?

A spokesperson for Lovehoney said: "Andover in Hampshire is the UK's sexiest place with the biggest rise in sexual activity over the past year.

"We have seen a huge surge in activity as couples use sex as a stress-buster to escape the pressures of the pandemic.

"All our research shows that couples with great sex lives enjoy higher overall levels of happiness."

Well, that much is demonstrably true, at least.
