Shocking footage that shows UFOs gathering above a US Navy warship has been confirmed as authentic by the Pentagon.

The video was leaked to Jeremy Corbell, a documentary filmmaker, and is part of an investigation, according to authorities.

Sue Gough, a Department of Defense spokesperson, told Futurism that the video is being used as part of an ongoing investigation.

Gough told the publication: "I can confirm that the referenced photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel.

"The UAPTF (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force) has included these incidents in their ongoing examinations.

"As we have said before, to maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, DOD does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP."

Corbell discussed the new footage with Mystery Wire that it was taken in 2019, and appears to show an incident where unidentified flying objects swarm above the US warship, just off the coast of Southern California.

They were initially reported as drones, but the shape is actually a pyramid.

Corbell told Mystery Wire: "This was taken on deployment from the USS Russell.

"It shows what they described as vehicles. And they made a great distinction.

"They made sure in this classified briefing, they made a great distinction that this is not something that we own either a black project, this is not something of a foreign military, that these were behaving in ways that we did not expect.

"And that they were you know shaped non aerodynamically. Like pyramids, these are flying pyramids!"

Of course, there are other explanations for the incident, which include a prank or an optical illusion. You can see more about what Corbell has to say on his website.

But it looks like there's a reason that they don't want to stick around other than hovering above us every so often.

A professor recently said that he believes that extra-terrestrial life hasn't beamed down to earth just yet because alien races just think we're all thick.

Harvard professor of astronomy Avi Loeb also believes that aliens hate green grass, and that a super smart race of alien creatures flew a space object right by our planet in 2017 before swerving off around the sun.

Of course, this all sounds pretty out there, but the guy is a professor at Harvard, and they aren't just handing out positions like that.
