Significant details from Bill Gates' hearing in Congress have now been released after the technology giant and philanthropist admitted that some of the allegations in the Epstein Files were true.
Earlier this month, the Microsoft co-founder testified to Congress and the House Oversight Committee that Jeffrey Epstein had learned about his unfaithfulness and allegedly tried to use that to 'restore their connection'.
The tech billionaire said that around this time 'Epstein had become aware of sensitive information about my personal life', including him cheating on his wife Melinda, and claims that Epstein had used that to try and re-establish their contact.
He said: "These affairs had nothing to do with my interactions with Epstein, but they were painful for my family.

"As the public can now see, based on what has been released in the files, Epstein was working to use information about my infidelities—in addition to many lies that he layered on top—to pressure me to re-engage with him.
"He was unsuccessful in this effort, but it shows some of the ways he tried to leverage his interactions with me to further his agenda.
"I should never have met with Epstein in the first place."
More details from that 10 June hearing have now been released to the public, and it sees Gates reveal the identities of the two women with whom he slept.

It had already been reported that Gates had slept with two Russian women during his marriage to Melinda, and during his hearing, he named them as bridge player Mila Antonova and nuclear scientist Karima Nigmatulina.
Back in January, the Department of Justice published an email which Epstein had drafted, apparently on behalf of one of Gates’ own employees, Boris Nikolic, who was preparing to depart as a science adviser.
“Though it was kindly suggested that I make a transition to a new position after my 6 years of service and that Bill would, in his words, give me a generous package, I feel it would be dishonest to myself and my future from helping Bill to get drugs in order to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls, to facilitating his illicit trysts with married women, to being asked to provide Adderall for bridge tournaments,” the draft email stated.
“I feel I owe it to my friends and future colleagues to admit a moral failure, to ask forgiveness, and to move on with my life.”
Although Gates testified that the allegations of sleeping with Russian women was true, he continues to deny the allegations which appeared in the Epstein files, which suggested that he contacted the disgraced financier about a sexually transmitted disease.

His spokesperson said: "These claims - from a proven, disgruntled liar - are absolutely absurd and completely false.
"The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein's frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame."
The 70-year-old also reiterated that he never visited the paedophile's infamous island, nor did he take part in or witness any illegal activities with minors.
He said: "I never witnessed nor had any indication that Epstein was engaged in ongoing criminal conduct. I never went to his island, his ranch, or his Florida home.
"I have never victimised anyone. While he may have sought to foster a personal relationship, I was never interested in that and never reciprocated."
