Donald Trump has made a bold claim about Vladimir Putin and his role in peace talks with Ukraine.
Russia invaded Ukraine back in February 2022, with nearly four years of war and turmoil following.
There has been no end in sight for quite some time, though the US president has recently taken it upon himself to act as peace keeper, having spoken to both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in attempts to broker a peace deal.
Trump has talked about putting 'bombshell' offers on the table in the months since, claiming that he would help the nations to come to an agreement over territories.

Earlier today (18 September), Trump and Keir Starmer announced a groundbreaking 'technology prosperity deal' involving some of the biggest tech firms in the world and billions of pounds.

Despite the deal taking the headlines, Trump took the opportunity in front of the media to call Putin out, saying that the Russian leader has 'really let me down' with his efforts to ending the conflict with Ukraine.
It's a comment which will reverberate across the continent, with NATO eager to end the war as soon as possible, despite Russia's apprehensions.
Trump also spoke of his 'disagreement' with Starmer's plan to recognise a Palestinian state, while also telling the UK prime minister that if you use the military to fight illegal immigration it won't matter as 'it destroys countries from within'.

As for the tech deal, Starmer spoke of the US and UK being first partners in defence, trade, science and technology, claiming it may even have 'the power to change lives' in an eventful press conference at Chequers.

Despite the fact that Trump was caught losing his focus while Starmer spoke of the deal at a previous conference, the US leader was complimentary of him and the nations' relationship.
Trump was at a banquet at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, where he joked about being the only president to be invited on a state visit there, twice.
His visit is set to come to an end today, with both Trump and First Lady Melania set to fly back to the US this evening.
