Models have been issued a stark warning about attending the infamous 'porta-potty' parties.
In the past week or so, the harrowing story of Maria Kovalchuk has grabbed headlines on social media.
The Ukrainian model suffered a number of life-altering injuries while at one of these aforementioned parties in Dubai, UAE.
Now 21, the OnlyFans star was found severely bruised with cuts over her body, a broken spine, and with several limbs also broken.

Kovalchuk was then rushed to hospital and her medical problems were tended to.
She was originally in the Middle Eastern city to make content for her 18+ page, but she had overslept and missed her flight to Thailand.
After meeting the son of a Russian businessman in the lobby of a five-star hotel, things started to head south.

Kovalchuk then partied with other Russian and Ukrainian businessmen before fleeing to a nearby construction site, and had reportedly 'fallen from a height'.

Her mother claimed that her hair was 'shorn with a knife and scalped' following the party.
Despite going missing for a week, with her friends and family she may have been kidnapped or sold into sexual slavery, she is now safe with her mother in Norway.
What is a 'porta-potty party'?
The term refers to specific parties hosted by rich men in Dubai.
They would often offer models or influencers with large social media followings, money and gifts to attend.

This could include jewellery or free stays at luxury hotels, in exchange for carrying out specific sexual acts.
'Porta-potty' comes from reports of some of these men urinating and even defecating on some of the women at these parties.
Influencers who have found themselves at these gatherings have warned others to steer clear in a number of viral videos, but it looks like some still fall foul to the parties.

What are the legal ramifications of attending a 'porta-potty party'?
The CEO of Detained in Dubai, Radha Stirling, has warned tourists of the legal risks that come with attending the party.

Being involved puts you at risk, as he explained: “Even if women are lured or coerced, they can still be charged with crimes such as indecency or adultery—especially if married men are present.”
The system of law in the UAE has long been Sharia law, which was developed from the Qur’an as well as the Sunnah scriptures.
Acts such as public displays of affection used to get you arrested, but the UAE and the city of Dubai have since eased their views on the matter, for example.
Sex outside marriage has recently been decriminalised, but you could still find yourself in trouble if involved with anything similar to a 'porta-potty' party.
