Man can't believe what he found at top of Great Pyramid of Giza while paragliding
The Great Pyramid of Giza, the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, is a spectacle—but what one adventurer discovered at its tip may surprise you.
If you’re a bit of a history buff then we bet you’re well aware that the Egyptian pyramid, which served as the tomb of pharaoh Khufu, was built around 2600 BC.
This timeworn landmark initially stood at a whopping 146.6 meters tall, but over the millennium has eroded down to 138.5m in height.

Still, it’s pretty jaw-dropping to look at and according to The Collector, more than 14 million tourists make their way to the World Heritage site each year to bask in its glory.
Marshall Mosher, a self-styled ‘adventure athlete' and businessman, was recently one of these sightseers.
However, he wasn’t content to see the Great Pyramid of Giza from the ground.
No, the social media star wanted to go one step further and got the best view in the house by taking to the Egyptian skies in his paramotor - a powered paraglider.
In viral footage posted to his Instagram earlier this week, Mosher could be seen flying high above the structure.
But we can bet he wasn’t bargaining for what he saw trotting around on top.
“Paragliding over the Great Pyramids of Giza today was a surreal reminder that no dream is too big,” he wrote to his 280,000 followers.
“Just as these ancient monuments have stood the test of time, built stone by stone through sheer will, grit, and vision, we too can create lasting legacies when we pursue our dreams relentlessly.
“We live in an era where the extraordinary is within reach, more than ever before, so why not chase the life of our dreams,” he continued before saying how ‘awe-inspiring’ it was to be floating above the pyramids.
But in a follow-up clip, the daredevil revealed he’d spotted a four-legged beast that had made its way up the memorial.
“A dog climbed all the way up the Great Pyramid of Giza!,” he wrote in a clip, which has since amassed more than 22.8 million views.
Viewers were shocked to see the furry friend in the video and have taken to the post’s comments section to have their say.
One Instagram user wrote: “None of his friends are gonna believe him,” while a second argued: “Not a dog. That is the Egyptian God Anubis.
“He is considered the guide of the dead in the afterlife and the protector of the tombs. That's why it is over the pyramid.”
“Dogs are the most ancient creatures of world,” echoed another.
A fourth concerned user commented: “I wonder how long it took him. I want him to come down and get some water.”
Turns out though that spotting a pooch on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza isn’t actually a phenomenon.
In a follow-up video, Mosher agreed that the mysterious dog could be Anubis —the ancient Egyptian god of funerary practices.
He added that loads of these four-legged companions actually live in the area and are often seen climbing up and down the Great Pyramid of Giza.
In a subsequent clip, he revealed that the dog actually lives up there and frequently returns to the ground.
So while the canine may not be Anubis back in business, it’s still a pretty cool sight to capture on camera, right?
