Simulation of nuclear strike on London that would 'instantly vaporise' hundreds of thousands aired on TV

The chilling simulation was aired in Russia

A shocking simulation showing what would happen if a nuclear missile struck London was aired on a Russian TV channel.

Fears of an all out nuclear war isn't anything new. Ever since the bombing of Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the advent of the Cold War, concerns about mutually assured destruction have remained part of our collective consciousness.

These concerns have only increased since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, leading the West to take a united stance against Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Putin has never been shy when it comes to issuing nuclear threats either, with the president regularly making WWIII threats against NATO in his speeches.

However, Russian nuclear threats have now taken a disturbing turn after a pro-Kremlin channel shared a simulation of what would happen should a missile hit London.

Shared on Tsargrad TV and its relevant Telegram channel, the four minute clip - which includes English commentary - reveals the immediate aftermath of a strike on the UK capital.

"Imagine for a moment that the unimaginable happens. A nuclear weapon explodes over London," the creepy sounding commentary begins.

The clip goes onto reveal a simulation of a nuclear warhead containing a yield of '750 kilotons' landing on Westminster.

"Upon detonation, a fireball as hot as the sun rapidly expands, reaching a radius of 950 metres," the voice explains.

"Anything trapped inside this fireball is instantly vaporised.

"People within that radius won't even feel anything because the nerve impulse transmission speed is slower."

Everything within 5 km of the epicentre - which includes city of London, Camden town, Kensington, Brixton in the simulation - with buildings being destroyed and debris filling the streets.

The initial death toll from the blast was estimated at 250,000 people, with a further 600,000 within the next 10 km suffering injuries. Anything flammable within this region, such as petrol and gas, would combust.

The video then claims that: “According to various estimates, a further 450,000 people will die from burns, debris, injuries or radiation sickness, and over a million will be traumatised."

It then states that 100,000 more would succumb to their injuries in the following weeks, with radiation sickness being the biggest killer.

After showing a projection of the destruction and lives lost from a nuclear attack the video then zeros in on public fears of a nuclear bomb, by highlighting how the capital's infrastructure would collapse.

"Eleven of London's twenty hospitals would be within the blast," the video claims.

"The remaining hospitals would be physically unable to cope with the number of victims.

"Many people are still alive under the rubble of the buildings suffering burns but no one would be able to help them."

The video ends on an ominous note, stating that 'nuclear weapons are a real threat to our future'.

The channel in its report recalled how Putin in 2018 said that in the event of nuclear war: "We will go to heaven as martyrs, and they [in the West] will simply die, because they will not even have time to repent."

Tsargrad is controlled by oligarch Konstantin Malofeev, 50, an investment banker and media mogul known as the 'Orthodox Oligarch' because of his links to the Russian church.
