Rapper and social media influencer Yung Filly is set to face a retrial over allegations he raped a woman in Australia while he was on tour nearly two years ago.
Last month, Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was found guilty of two charges of assault occasioning bodily harm in relation to bites to a woman's breast and neck.
Following an eight-day trial, he was also found not guilty of three of six counts of sexual penetration without consent of the same individual in a hotel room in Perth in Australia, with the trial taking place at the District Court of Western Australia in July. Barrientos denies all charges.
However, jurors in the trial were unable to reach a verdict on the other three counts of sexual penetration without consent.

Prosecutors in Australia have now confirmed that they will be pursuing a retrial on the counts where the jury was not able to reach a verdict.

Barrientos is next set to appear in court on 27 August for an application to vary his bail; however, a retrial date has not yet been set, and he will not be sentenced until after it has taken place.
Barrientos was accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old woman, who can't be named for legal reasons. The incident was alleged to have occurred in Barrientos' hotel room in September 2024 while he had been on a tour of Australia.
During the initial trial, the court heard that Barrientos had met the woman after the show when he had gone to a nightclub. He told the court that the 'vibes were good' between them when they arrived at his hotel.

Prosecutors alleged that the woman had initially consented to have sex with Barrientos; however, she had withdrawn her consent after she started to fear for her safety.
During closing arguments, prosecutor Danielle Clarke branded Barrientos as 'entitled' and had violated the woman 'in the most intrusive way possible'. Meanwhile, his defence said the evidence was full of 'inconsistencies, embellishments and outright lies'.
The rapper and influencer is known for his collaborations online with the YouTube group Beta Squad, beginning his YouTube career in 2013.
He has also made appearances on a number of shows on the BBC, including hosting the series Hot Property, as well as Munya And Filly Get Chilly.
In addition to his BBC appearances, Barrientos appeared on the Channel 4 show The Great Celebrity Bake Off, and appeared on Soccer Aid for England.
