Man Finds Suitcase Filled With Cash Hidden In His House

A bloke was remodelling his home when he stumbled across a mysterious briefcase.

While he was in the basement, he began knocking down a low ceiling when he noticed the case. Writing on Imgur, Branik12 said: "So my family and I have been living in our house we bought some years back.

"The house was built in the late '40s. I had remodelled everything on the first and second floors when it came time to remodel the basement."

He called over his wife and (with the help of a toy banana for scale) took pictures as he revealed the contents.

Keep in mind, some of the pictures are pretty blurry. However, if I was this guy, I'd be bricking myself in excitement so I'm letting him off for shaking a bit.

So, as you can see, he found three massive wads of cash. Nice.

The first one was made up of 20s, the second was 50s, and the third was 100 dollar bills. Branik12 reckons it comes in at about $23,000.

He also said that the newspaper included in the case was dated March 25, 1951.

What's he going to do with all his cash, though?! Apparently, he's contacted a lawyer for advice. Very smart. If he gets to keep the cash, he's going to use it to pay off some of his mortgage.

Why can't anything like this happen to us?!
