What Is Graeme McDowell's Net Worth In 2022?

Professional golfer Graeme McDowell has been tearing up the green for many years now, but what is his net worth?

Professional golfer Graeme McDowell has been tearing up the green for many years now.

But, the 42-year-old star hit the headlines for the wrong reasons recently after his long-lasting endorsement deal with Mastercard was suspended.

After McDowell and many others defected to the Saudi-backed circuit, LIV, the PGA Tour has suspended them from playing. Following this, Mastercard has decided to pause their 12-year relationship due to “uncertainties around their standing”.

So after a very successful career, and having now moved to the LIV for a lucrative amount of money, how much is Graeme McDowell worth in 2022?

Graeme McDowell Net Worth:

Graeme McDowell is a professional golfer from Northern Ireland. Over his career, he has not only won events on both the European and the PGA Tour, but he has also represented his nation at the World Cup.

He has managed to win some pretty big trophies over the years, even ranking 4th in the Official World Golf Rankings at one point in time.

As you can imagine, a large amount of income accompanies this amount of success. It’s estimated that in 2022 Graeme McDowell’s net worth stands at around $40 million.

Throughout his life, he has accumulated his wealth entirely from his golfing prowess, and this isn’t set to change.

In fact, McDowell is now set to make even more per year after he made the controversial decision to join the LIV tour.

Although his exact salary hasn’t been released, fellow golfer, Bryson DeChambeau, has already shared that he will make at least $125 million over a four-year period by joining the LIV tour.

Therefore, it’s highly likely McDowell will also earn a fair amount of money for the move.

McDowell even admitted himself that his move to the LIV was almost entirely based on the financial advantages the new tour promised.

He continued to say that this move is in lockstep with every other professional decision he has ever made.

McDowell is best known for winning the 2010 U.S Open at Pebble Beach, where he brought some respect back to European golfers as he ended the 40-year drought for Europeans at the tournament.

So far in his career, McDowell has picked up eleven wins on the European Tour, four wins on the PGA tour and in 2011, Mcdowell was even honoured with an MBE for his services to golf.

Although golf isn’t the only sport McDowell loves to enjoy, he loves to watch football.

He is such a devoted Manchester United fan that he actually skipped the annual par-3 contest to watch his side in their 2011 Champions League fixture against Chelsea!
