Jake Paul has spoken out about a surprising factor he claims contributed to his loss against Tommy Fury.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer went head-to-head with the former Love Islander on Sunday, 26 February in the Diriyah Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Despite a lot of big chat being spoken in the run-up to the fight, Jake ultimately lost to Tommy after eight rounds.

However, the 26-year-old has since spoken out about a possible and rather unexpected reason why.

On an episode of his brother Logan Paul's podcast IMPAULSIVE, Jake opened up about how he's been feeling since he 'got his a** whipped' by The Gypsy King's younger brother.

Jake explained Fury 'didn't win the fight,' instead, he 'lost it'.

"I was not on my a-game, I didn't implement the game plan. My legs were weak going into the fight, I think I cut the weight improperly," he reflects.

Despite Jake noting he 'doesn't want to sit here and make excuses,' who should chime in with one but his brother?

Logan Paul questioned whether his brother's wet dream had an impact on his performance against Fury.

Later on in the podcast, Logan questioned whether Jake's 'wet dream played a part' in his loss to Tommy 'at all'. Cue Jake looking extremely uncomfortable and trying to divert the conversation.

Unfortunately, as brothers do, Logan ploughed on: "I know you didn't want to talk about it. But Mom said ‘Jake had a wet dream the night before his fight.’ I sparked up and said ‘no f***ing way.’ I had a wet dream the day of the KSI fight'."

Logan went on to explain how - in boxing terms - Jake had been 'building his batch,' so he had more testosterone in his body and would be more riled up when stepping into the ring.

Jake said he had built up testosterone for 'two weeks' prior to the fight.

Jake explained he had 'two weeks of testosterone built up' and his body clearly needed a release and made him have a wet dream. "I f**ked myself," he joked.

The boxer added having such a release 'makes your legs weak' and 'that's why it's bad' just before a fight.

Jake continued: "And that's why when you start getting hit in the head, if you notice when fighters are about to get knocked out their legs start jumping all over the place, because your legs and your head are connected when you're getting hit."

He resolved the 'wet dream' was 'one of many reasons' why he lost.

Despite his loss, Jake stressed he's 'feeling great'.

He said: "I was thinking about it today like damn people probably get really sad over a loss, but it just doesn't feel like a loss.

"This is a gift from the universe. If we're talking about in terms of life, and my personal growth as a human being, then this is a gift from the universe and a win. I want to be happy and love myself and have eternal confidence regardless of any situation so this put me so many steps closer to that because I thought my identity lied so much in winning and beating everyone and being undefeated and being some bad a** tough person who never loses [...] making all this money.

"And after I lost, I was like, none of that is what actually makes me awesome. My identity is just who I am and that's all I need to be. And that's good enough."
