We don't mean to alarm you, but it looks like the two teams a 'time traveller' predicted would play in the World Cup final have qualified for the next round.

Could their prophecy come true?

In case you missed it, earlier today we reported on a self-proclaimed time traveller who shared alleged footage from the football tournament three weeks in the future. Check it out:

As you can see in the clip, they reckon that France will be facing off against Brazil in the grand finale.

They also reckon Brazil wins the title, showing footballers and fans from the South American country celebrating the massive win.

Alongside the footage, they wrote: "Brazil just beat France in the 2022 World Cup final."

Now, there have been a plethora of so-called time jumpers hitting TikTok of late, and for the most part none of their predictions have come true.

But the same can't be said for this person, whoever they may be.

According to their account (@worldcuptimetraveller), they appeared to have accurately envisioned Italy's final score in the delayed Euro 2020 last year.

A number of their predictions appear to have come true.

The same goes for England's 4-0 victory against Ukraine in the football competition.

Regardless of their seemingly uncanny forecasts, the online community remains skeptical.

Some commenters have pointed out that they may have made a number of videos with different scores and kept them on private until the actual results come out.

But if this is the case, the TikToker can't back out of their World Cup prediction as they've published it well ahead of the final.

What's more, there are still plenty of people who have faith in the TikToker's suggestions.

And they might just be right, as both France and Brazil have just qualified for the World Cup's next round.

Brazil became the second team after France to be confirmed for the Round of 16 stages after beating Switzerland today (28 November).

Following the news, one person excitedly wrote on the TikToker's video: "Brazil and France just qualified for the next round - your prediction's coming true!"

Others have pointed out some of the 'time traveller's' winning predictions.

"He got it right on Euro 2020 btw," said one, while another wrote: "Imagine if he gets it right again."

A third added: "If those two actually playing in finals... I'm putting my life savings on Brazil."

Well, with France and Brazil one step closer to the final, their prognosis can't be ruled out just yet.
