UFC legend Nate Diaz appears to brawl with member of Jake Paul's team in backstage altercation

UFC legend Nate Diaz appears to brawl with member of Jake Paul's team in backstage altercation

The altercation took place at Paul's fight against Anderson Silva

Footage filmed backstage at Jake Paul's fight against Anderson Silva appears to show UFC star Nate Diaz involved in an altercation with what is believed to be a member of Paul's team.

Boxing fans obviously tune in to the sporting events to watch a fight, but they apparently got more than they bargained for when Paul prepared to go up against Silva in Arizona on Saturday (29 October).

It's unclear exactly what got people's backs up, but videos that have emerged from the event indicate Paul's team found themselves up against Silva in the hours before the official fight was set to take place.

One video appears to show Diaz lurching forwards towards another individual, with some reports suggesting he slapped them, while another clip shows people running and shouting in the arena.

Following Paul's fight with Silva, Diaz shared a live stream on his Instagram account of security seemingly refusing to let him on to the floor of the arena. He could later be seen leaving while flanked by security guards.

In a post-fight interview, Paul called out Diaz and accused him of trying to come into his locker room.

"I want Nate Diaz, he's a b*tch,” Paul said. “He tried to come into my locker room.

"He tried to cause some s**t and then he always leaves the f**king arena. So Nate Diaz, stop being a b*tch and fight me".

He later added in his post-fight press conference: "Everyone wants that fight, he tried to fight [my] people in the hallway. Nate, stop fighting people for free, let's do it in the ring."

Diaz is thought to have been in attendance at the fight to support his teammate Chris Avila, who fought YouTube star 'Doctor Mike' Varshavski on the undercard.

Diaz has previously said he would be open to a fight with Paul, telling iD Boxing: "Jake is for sure one of the options, he's doing big stuff, he's doing really big things and he's got a big fight ahead of him and if he wins that I think people should surely be really impressed by it.”

Paul succeeded to win against Silva last night after eight rounds, which ended with the former YouTuber knocking down Silva. He received a unanimous decision of 77-74 and 78-73 twice from the three judges, bringing his boxing record to 6-0.

LADbible has reached out to representatives for Diaz for contact.
