Woman brought to tears after first day working 9-5 job announces she's been laid off

Woman brought to tears after first day working 9-5 job announces she's been laid off

It's been a rough for months for the American as she's laid off right before Christmas

Back in October, a debate was ignited when a woman was brought to tears after her first day of working a 9-5 job.

It’s a pretty standard routine for many who ‘figure out how to balance things’ but others argued it’s ‘beyond outdated’.

And it seems it is out of date for her as she’s announced that she’s been ‘laid off’.

After she’d cried that she didn’t ‘have time to anything’, the TikTok user now feels like ‘the world is ending’ after losing the job she moved to New York for.

Watch her announce she got laid off here:

Back in October, Brielle cried to TikTok: “I know I'm probably just being so dramatic and annoying, but this is my first job, like my first 9 to 5 job after college," she says.

"I'm in person, and I'm commuting in the city, and it takes me f**king forever to get there. There's no way I'm gonna be able to afford living in the city right now, so that's off the table.

“I want to shower, eat my dinner, and go to sleep. I don’t have time or energy to cook my dinner either. I don’t have energy to work out, like, that’s out the window."

Right in the run-up to Christmas, she assured it’s ‘not her fault’ and explained the start-up she was working for basically didn’t have the capacity to keep her.

Brielle previously cried over not having time while working a 9-to-5.

Brielle explained that the job also didn’t pay a salary that allowed her to save.

“I still don’t have an emergency fund because I wasn’t making enough to save anything. Everything was going towards living and expenses and commuting and everything else,” she said.

The graduate went on to say that 'going through the whole hiring process again is actually going to kill me', adding that it is ‘defeating’.

“It’s so disappointing. It makes you feel like you’re not good enough, and I know that I am.

"I’m a hard worker and my boss said I’m one of the smartest people he’s ever had working under him, and he knows I’m going to land on my feet.

“I have a degree – I’ve done everything I’m supposed to do: I did two internships, I built a portfolio, I worked freelance out of school because I was building my portfolio. I did things for free.

"I have done everything I possibly could have and it’s still not enough.”

Brielle also welcomed her followers to her ‘finding another job’ as she even asked for people to let her know about opportunities.

And some users commented to say it's ‘criminal’ right before the holidays - with many saying that they’re ‘so sorry’ for her and sharing similar experiences.
