Nurse exposes ‘disgusting’ things she’s heard men say during childbirth

From asking for a 'husband stitch' to complaining about their own pain, it gets a little wild in the delivery room

Let’s be real, the thought of childbirth is a little scary – no matter what your gender.

So, it’s unsurprising that people might blurt out some pretty random things while a mum is in labour.

I mean, there’s enough memes of blokes fainting in the delivery room and clips of women screaming in pain to put anyone off.

However, a nurse has exposed the ‘disgusting’ things she’s heard men say during childbirth.

Anna is a viral nurse on TikTok specialising in ‘birth, postpartum, nursing and motherhood’, and has spent many of her years assisting doctors to deliver babies.

So, it’s fair to say she’s probably seen – and heard – it all.

She created a clip to share the ‘shocking’ things she’s overheard, including one dad having the audacity to say: “Does it really hurt THAT bad?”

Or there was one who even commented that their partner’s vagina was ‘never going to look the same again’.

Anna even recalled one dad coming out with an absolute blinder while the mum was ‘in stirrup and pushing’.

“So how do we go about getting a paternity test?” They asked. Now, that’s either a really awkward dad joke or a situation for Jeremy Kyle.

Other dads apparently even said: “When do you think she’ll have the baby? Because I’m really hungry and need to go grab some food.”

Seems a little relatable, I guess.

There seems to have been a few dads complaining about ‘why is it taking so long’, while their partner pushes a human being out.

There are others complaining about their ‘back hurting’ from sitting in the chair, and then there are those who don’t even talk at all.

I'm not sure which is worse at this point?

Some have even been annoyed at their partner going through labour, saying: “Can you be a little more quiet? You’re being too loud.”

Or there’s the guy who apparently said: “I can’t hold your hand right now, I need to take this call. I’ll be right back.”

Aww, true love.

Oh, and back on to the subject of vaginas, one dad even asked: “Can you put in an extra stitch for me?”

Wow.

That one got a lot of responses in the comments as users wrote: “Not the husband stitch.”

Who even knew that this was a thing?

Another even wrote: “The divorce lawyer would be standing next to me within an hour.”

Others put: “Yeah that’s it I’m not getting married.”

As one said: “My man would get kicked out and replaced with my bestie so fast.”
