Brits have been left in complete shock after a tourist shared his receipt for just two drinks while in the United States.
Ryan Tricks was visiting the famous Sphere in Las Vegas when he ended up splashing the cash on the bevvies.
I mean, at this point, it doesn’t exactly come as a total surprise that drinks in the states would be expensive, let alone while in Sin City itself. But still, paying more money than what some of us might spend on a weekly shop just for two bevvies seems pretty outrageous.
The former Britain’s Got Talent contestant shared a snap of his receipt with his 2.5 million followers on Facebook, writing: “I can’t believe how much two drinks were in Vegas look at the price.”

The magician practically took out a mortgage for a rum and a beer, with his overall total coming to a whopping $74.31 (£54.70) at the venue’s Level 1 Arc Bar.
Popular country singer Kenny Chesney is currently headlining a string of concerts at the Sphere, for a Vegas residency and it seems they’ve done some themed items on the bar menu in his honour.
So, Ryan ended up paying $20 (£14.72) for a ‘Chesney’ Coors Light beer on draft (you can typically find a case of 10 Coors Light cans in the UK for about £12 or less).
He then paid an extra $3 (£2.21) for a ‘Kenny Chesney Cup’ for his drink.

And for a double Bacardi drink, he forked out a hefty $34 (£25.03). But that’s not where this torture stops for his bank account.
The state of Nevada’s sales tax was added on at $2.62 (£1.93) plus Clark County’s sales tax at $2.15 (£1.58).
Then, as we all know too well, it’s pretty standard in US hospitality for a tip to be added on and it came to $12.54 (£9.23) for Ryan.

The magic man’s post on Facebook caused a bit of debate, as some users were quick to point out he’s at a ‘tourist attraction’ and it’s the ‘same as buying drinks in any arena’.

Others suggested not buying alcohol to save the costs, but the guy’s just enjoying himself – even if it means splashing a lot of cash.
“Wtf that’s ridiculous why are they charging so much? They must never get repeating customers,” one slammed.
“Insane! I would’ve walked,” another wrote as a third commented: “Tips on taxes is morally wrong.”
A fourth said: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but, the cost of drinks is outrageous everywhere in the U.S."
However, another added: “It’s Vegas bro.”
