Woman left to foot the bill after date ditches her for eating 48 oysters
A woman who knocked back almost 50 oysters on a first date was left fuming after the bloke did a runner.
TikTok user @equanaaa visited the Fontaine’s Oyster House in Atlanta, US, with a man who she says had been keen to take her out on a date for some time.
And once seated in the restaurant, Equana decided to go all out - and I do mean all out - ordering four dozen oysters, costing $15 (about £12.30) apiece.

The woman admitted in her video that her unnamed companion had been a little surprised after seeing the fourth plate arrive, but she was undeterred.
In the clip, she explains: “Y’all, when the fourth [plate] came out, he was looking at me crazy. I didn’t give a f**k.
“I’m like, ‘Baby, you invited me out. I’m going to eat.’” And she’s not lying - because she didn’t stop at the oysters, she also tucked into crab cakes and potatoes, all washed down with lemon drop martinis.
But it seems as though while she had a great time - branding the food ‘ten out of ten’ - her date was less impressed and at some point after the bill hit their table he excused himself to use the toilet and didn’t come back, leaving our oyster-loving friend to pick up the $184 (£150) bill.
Equana then text the man to let him know she wasn’t happy with his actions, telling him: “Running out on a tab is crazyyy.”
In response the man doubled down, pointing out that she ordered ‘all that food’ and offering to pay for the drinks.
“I offered to take you out for drinks and you ordered all that food,” he wrote back.
“I can CashApp the total for the drinks.”
The clip has since gone viral on TikTok, racking up 4.5 million views and attracting thousands of comments, most of which are from people who can’t quite believe she managed to eat that many oysters in the first place.
“I’m sorry but 48 oysters as an appetiser got me screaming,” one person said.
Someone else commented: “The flash, the moaning, the ‘what I’m ‘bout to eat’ after 50 oysters. YO IM HOLLERING.”
A third said: “You eating 48 oysters, a whole meal and multiple drinks in that short window is INSANE.”
Others sided with the bloke, with one person joking: “He has the best ‘tell me about your worst date experience’.”
While a second said: “The way I would’ve dislocated my ankle trying to get out there.
