When gifts given away at the pre-wedding party could be more expensive than any wedding we could afford, you know no expense is being spared.

It's been the celebrity event of the millennium this weekend, with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tying the knot in New York City's 'transformed' Madison Square Garden.

Hundreds of famous faces descended upon New York for the mega event, which saw 130 NYPD officers deployed to the scene as streets surrounding MSG were blocked off to the common folk.

The marriage was announced to the world and the 'Swifties' hanging around outside on electric billboards which read: 'JUST&T MARRIED.'

But you don't spend god knows how much on renting out the world's most famous arena for your own personal use and not get the most out of it.

As well as the main event on Friday, July 3, a smaller dress rehearsal dinner was held by Swift and Kelce the previous day.

Only 10 per cent of the final guest count snagged an invite to the exclusive soaraway, with only about 100 of the couple's nearest and dearest in attendance.

It was at that party in MSG's Infosys Theater where Lena Dunham reportedly made a rather raunchy joke at the expense of Kelce and his fellow American footballers, and the guests also walked away with a costly gift.

If bagging an invite to one of the most exclusive celebrity events in recent history wasn't already enough of an ego boost, the fact the attendees left with a luxurious memento might have made them feel even better.

According to Page Six, the guests were gifted a 'large champagne flute adorned with diamonds.'

Imagine how good a cheeky fizzy Vimto would taste out of one of them bad boys.

The guests were spotted leaving the celebrations on Thursday night holding black velvet boxes under their arms.

The couple's initials were etched on to the box, with it being reported that an image of the garden from Swift and Kelce's engagement photographs was printed on fabric placed on top.

It was joined by a commemorative card and all tied together with a silver wax seal.

A statement on the Kelce Brothers official X account announced the marriage late on Friday.

It shared more interesting details from an event that has been shrouded in secrecy, like Swift and Kelce not having bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Austin Swift, the 'Love Story' singer's brother, was her man of honour, while Jason Kelce served as his Kansas City Chiefs star brother's best man.

It also revealed that the 'ceremony looks', rumoured to be garden themed with large floral arrangements, was "created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson in close collaboration with the bride and groom."

The shoes were by Christian Louboutin and the jewellery was from Cartier.
