Passengers On Trans-Atlantic Flight Forced To Endure Screaming Child For Hours

Passengers on a flight from Germany to Newark, New Jersey had to listen to the child's screams for eight hours as his parents did nothing.

Putting up with a screaming child on public transport is an absolute nightmare - particularly if you're on a plane and there's nothing you can do but ride it out.

Feel the pain of the passengers of one trans-Atlantic flight last summer, then, who were forced to listen to one kid screaming and running around for eight full hours.

In a video taken on board the flight from Germany to Newark, New Jersey last summer, the child can be seen climbing over all the seats and howling before the flight had even taken off.

The video of the young boy, taken from a few seats back, was uploaded by YouTuber user Shane Townley who called the kid a 'demonic child' in the caption. Going by the footage, Shane's description wasn't far off.

"Watch as this kid runs and screams throughout the entire flight while the mother does little to nothing to stop him," Shane wrote, not too flatteringly to the kids' parents.

"3 years old on a 8 hour flight from Germany to Newark NJ. He never quits!"

The five-minute video starts by showing the kid clambering all over the seats and jabbering while his mother commands him to sit, trying to calm him down.

The kid's mum is so desperate she asks the flight attendant if they can use the Wifi to distract the kid with an iPad before the flight's even taken off.

Instead of following his mum's orders, he doesn't, with the kid somehow being allowed to go free-range up and down the aisles while passengers cover their ears in horror.

Once the kid returns to his seat, it doesn't get better from there. The kid can be heard screaming for the entire journey, with the video tracking the hours as they pass like a prisoner marking days on a cell wall.

Obviously, the passengers were glad to get off when the plane landed, with one passenger saying: "What a nightmare, oh my God - eight hours of screaming" as they wheel their suitcase off.

People watching the video weren't on the kids' side, arguing that the kid and his parents should have been booted off the flight for the good of everyone else.

"Sadly this is happening more and more on flights, unruly kids and babies and exhausted parents," one person commented. "Even noise cancellation headphones would not have drowned out this terror.

"Total lack of discipline..perhaps crew should have removed said child and parents for violating safety regulations."

Another person called the kid's behaviour 'unacceptable', saying: "If this started before the plane took off, the plane should have taxied back to the terminal and kicked the kid and his parents off."

A third simply said: "Call an exorcist." Brutal.

We've got some sympathy for the mum as she was probably mega-embarrassed, but there's no excuse for torture like this. Bet the passengers won't forget that flight in a hurry.
