You'd think that eating Domino's pizza every day might not be the healthiest choice, but it proved to be the salvation of one US man who was saved by staff when he didn't order.
Kirk Alexander maintained the impressive record of ordering from a Domino's pizzeria close to his home Salem, Oregon almost daily for seven whole years.
While that was probably healthier than some of the frozen stuff you seen in shops these days, especially when you consider how those are made, Kirk was committed to ordering from his favourite spot.
Given one man has even proven its possible to lose weight by eating pizza three times a day, Kirk was clearly doing just fine until one day, the staff at the Oregon joint noticed that they hadn't delivered to Kirk in 11 whole days, something which they deemed to be highly unusual.

The general manager of that particular location, Sarah Fuller, explained back in 2016: "A few of my drivers had mentioned that we hadn't seen his order come across our screen in a while, so I went and looked up to see how long it had been since he last ordered and it was 11 days, which is not like him at all."
A delivery driver, who obviously knew his address after so many regular trips, was asked to pop round and check on him and despite the lights and TV being on, they couldn't get hold of Kirk, so decided to call the police.
That proved to be a life-saving decision as they found the deep-pan devotee ‘in need of immediate medical attention’ and he was quickly taken to hospital.

Thankfully, he was stabilised while he was there and even received a visit from some of the staff at his favourite pizza place, although perhaps wisely, their gifts did not include an XL pepperoni.
Fuller added: "[He is] just an important customer that's part of our family here at Domino's.
"He orders all the time so we know him.
"I think we were just doing our job checking in on someone we know who orders a lot.
"We felt like we needed to do something."

The staff were rightfully rewarded with media attention, but they clearly felt a debt of gratitude to the man who'd been so devoted to the branch for over a decade.
When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie, that's amore. And no doubt Kirk still loves Domino's and the staff who saved him, to this day.
