Naomi Campbell doesn't like germs. She already cleans the space she is going to be sitting in when she gets on a flight. But during her most recent travels, she turned up wearing a full hazmat suit and mask, as coronavirus fears continue to build.

The 49-year-old supermodel took to Instagram to share her 'safety first' snaps. Her tips included a full hazmat suit, face mask - covering her nose and mouth, pink latex gloves and safety goggles.

She captioned the picture: "Safety First NEXT LEVEL," and she's not joking there. A number of people responded, encouraging her to carry on taking such precautions.

One wrote: "I'm with you entirely," while another dubbed her the 'queen of hygienic travel'. Someone else added: "Omg!!!!! Certainly next level. Love it. Keep safe!"

A fourth commented: "Corona virus but, make it fashion," probably pointing to the fact that she match her suitcase to her hazmat suit - making sure both were bright white. While another photo shows a luxurious-looking cape draped over her shoulders.

Rapper Azealia Banks referred to Naomi's brown cape, writing: "Omg I hope that is not an airport blanket and it's your own. Those don't get washed properly, and wipe that phone down sis!!!! I love you so much for this Lmao."

The supermodel responded: "Mine, now in airport garbage."

This isn't the first time Campbell has shared her hygiene habits with the world. Last year she posted a video to her YouTube channel showing her cleaning down her seat.

As soon as she got on the flight, she went digging around her Louis Vuitton bag for her gloves before then whipping out some disinfectant wipes.

It sort of makes sense doing this, considering how some people behave on flights. Last year, footage was shared of an airline passenger using their feet to operate the in-flight entertainment screen.

Posting the short clip to Twitter, author Alafair Burke said: "My friend who doesn't have twitter sent this from her flight. It belongs on Twitter.

"The photographer confirms that she saw him walk on and off the plane, carrying his own bag. He just likes to watch TV with his bare feet."

Might take the Campbell approach going forward.
