Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is known for his hench physique and towering frame, having previously risen to fame in the wrestling ring before making the jump to acting.

But all those muscles don't build themselves, meaning he's had to stick to a fairly strict diet for years to keep himself in tip-top shape.

Like many people, however, he makes sure he treats himself to the odd 'cheat day' here and there, and when he does, he doesn't do things by halves.

Johnson regularly shares photos from his intense workouts, but he seems even prouder of his indulgent days, often posting snaps of himself chowing down on huge sushi feasts, 'double dough pizza' ("Where I have the pizza maker literally use two doughs to make one pie") or his now-famous coconut banana pancakes smothered in peanut butter.

Over the years, he's proudly shown off his cheat day meals, telling fans at the end of each post: "Don't cheat yourselves, treat yourselves and enjoy your cheat meals, my friends."

I mean, that's one motto I can happily get on board with.

Recently, he posted a photo of a massive plate of sushi, with two gigantic chocolate chip cookies in the background.

"Late night soosh train," he wrote.

"Cheat meal in full effect. Accompanied by soy sauce and hunks of woooooosabi and two big ass chocolate chip cookies."

Another video shows 'pasta shells smothered in a delicious bolognese with fresh shaved Parmesan' - another regular favourite of his, as this picture from last year shows.

Johnson added: "Don't have my Italian bread so bagels with garlic butter will pinch hit for the night."

The star also has a penchant for pancakes - specifically, his very own coconut banana pancakes, smothered in peanut butter and maple syrup.

Posting a video of one batch, he wrote: "When even steam can look delicious. This is the moment where my mouth salivates and I get silly and stupid.

"My coconut banana pancakes are INSANELY DELICIOUS. Best pancakes I've ever had - [mic] drop - I'm gonna gather our special recipe and share it with you guys."

Basically, the dude knows how to do cheat days, having grown something of a cult following for them as fans watch on in awe.

One tweeted: "The Rock got one of the strangest eating habits I ever seen. F*** his 7 meals a day shit, but have you seen this MF'ers cheat meals? He the only person on earth that would eat a large stack of buckwheat pancakes with 32 California Rolls."

Someone else said: "I have just been shown the Rock's cheat meals and I need to know if this man is capable of s***ing."

A third joked: "I like to pretend I'm the Rock and have his cheat days without having his regular days."
