The Beckhams' big blow out was a shock to many, but apparently, it had been quietly brewing in the background for some time.
To refresh your memory, oldest son of Victoria and David Beckham, Brooklyn, famously cut himself off from his family and released a detailed statement on social media in where he accused his parents of trying to 'ruin' the relationship with his wife, actor Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn wrote in January: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He went on to claim: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life."

While pieces of the puzzle started to come out, which seemed to link the break in the family to their 2022 Palm Beach wedding, it could have been earlier.
According to the Daily Mail, a friend of the pair said there was something going on behind closed doors where Brooklyn was allegedly feeling some type of way about what was expected of him.
The person reportedly said: "It was intolerable for Brooklyn. He tried, but nothing was enough. You have to be an indentured servant. You can’t do 75 per cent of what is asked, you have to be all in."
They went on to claim Brooklyn hadn't spoken to his family in some time, but was expected to still post birthday messages to keep up appearances.
The person alleged: "He wanted to speak because it had become completely inauthentic and all for social media. The posts for birthdays when you haven’t spoken in months which say: 'mum and dad love you' he found weird and they gave him anxiety."
Writer Alison Boshoff went on to 'reveal that they weren’t actually on speaking terms for some three months before the young couple married.'

As for Brooklyn, he wrote online in his statement that he wasn't comfortable with the glitz and glam and branding of his family.
He added: “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.
“The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."
He concluded: “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out."
He finished his statement with: "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation.
"All we want [is] peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."
