Dwayne Johnson has revealed secret message that’s hidden on every bottle of his tequila.

Yep, not only is The Rock one of the most famous WWE stars and a huge film actor, he’s also the owner of an alcohol brand.

Launched in the UK over the summer, he tells LADbible he first came up with the idea over a decade ago while he was in London for a film.

And staying in a hotel with nothing to look at other than ‘a brick wall’ for eight weeks, he’d often come back at night and ‘pop open a bottle of tequila’.

But one evening, the 52-year-old realised that he had absolutely no idea what he was actually drinking, sparking him to wonder what a tequila made by him would be like. You know, as you do.

So, fast forward to 2020 and Teremana was launched, following an ‘old school process’ in its creation.

Johnson says when he founded the brand, his interest wasn’t ‘hey, let me create a brand, and maybe in 10, 15 years from now, I can turn it around and sell it to a large company, and then I ride off into the sunset’. Instead, it was all about creating ‘a ‘legacy brand’.

Centred on the idea of 'sharing the mana', which means 'bringing good energy, bringing people together and doing the right thing', the Hollywood star says it holds a special place in his heart and has a deep meaning for him and his family.

And in a bit of an ‘Easter egg’ his family are very literally a part of Teremana, thanks to a secret message hidden on every bottle of tequila.

“So on every single bottle of Teremana that's produced, there's an embossed word at the bottom there and it’s ‘TIJASI’.”

Rotating the bottle to show how you’ve got to turn it around to make it out, he explains: “The letters are kind of put together in a funky way.”

But they’re not just random letters or some kind of saying, it’s a whole lot sweeter and closer to home.

“This is the first two letters of my daughter's first names, so Tiana, Jasmine and Simone,” Johnson says. “So, at the bottom of every bottle, this will give you an idea of how this is a legacy brand.”

And if you class yourself as a tequila drinker, Johnson says ‘the biggest mistake’ you might be making is that you’re ‘not drinking Teremana’. OK, The Great One, we hear you.

Dwayne Johnson’s Teremana tequila is available in three expressions, Blanco, Reposado and Añejo, in Tesco, Selfridges and Amazon.
