Macaulay Culkin has revealed the sweet reason why he keeps his identity as Kevin McCallister secret from his kids.
Home Alone is undoubtedly a Christmas classic, with non-lactose intolerant kids across the world dreaming about the idea of being left alone to eat pizza and ice cream to their heart's content.
We've probably all watched it over the recent festive period and been left wondering how exactly the dad can afford such a nice house, something which Culkin himself revealed the answer to after a dark theory went viral.
But while most of us enjoy seeing the baby-faced Culkin defeating the Wet Bandits, his own children haven't yet realised that it's their dad who is starring as their Christmas hero.

The 45-year-old actor shares two young boys with his fiancé Brenda Song, who they know played London Tipton in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Christmas is all about keeping the magic alive, especially when it comes to Santa Claus, and Culkin suggested that is just one reason why he hasn't told his two kids that he is the one playing Kevin, even if they do think he looks a little familiar.
He said: "I try to keep the magic alive.
"I showed my oldest — he wanted to see a picture of me and my siblings, so I pulled up this old photo; it’s all my siblings, and he looks right at me, and he goes, ‘Who’s that? That looks like Kevin,’" Culkin shared.
"I go, ‘Oh, no, nobody, here’s your aunt.'"
They're certainly big fans of the film, even calling it 'Kevin' after the main character, who definitely had a better time of things than the haunting real-life scenario of the film, which saw two girls left at home while their parents holidayed in Mexico.

"They don’t even call it 'Home Alone,' they call it 'Kevin.' They’re like, ‘Wow, Kevin’s really funny.’ I go, ‘He’s also handsome, somebody that your mom [Brenda Song] might be into,'" Culkin said, via The Hollywood Reporter.
While some actors don't like to look back on themselves when they were young, such as Tom Felton who is yet to rewatch the Harry Potter series for a similarly sweet reason, Culkin doesn't deny his kids another childhood masterpiece, saying that it's 'awesome'.
He added: "I don't watch the movie, I watch them," he said. "I watch their eyes. I listen to them laugh and things like that. And it makes me really proud to be a part of something like that. So it resonates now. Now I can see it through their eyes."
He continued: "You guys were raised on it, now you guys are raising your kids on it, right? So, now I'm raising my kids on it. It means something completely different. That's the way I look at the movie nowadays."
