People are sharing their favourite celebrity lookalikes and they’re scarily accurate

The resemblances are uncanny

People are sharing their favourite celebrity lookalikes and they’re scarily accurate.

Now, it's nothing new that fans have a whole load of theories when it comes to celeb doppelgängers, but many always seem to be a bit of a stretch.

Does anyone remember the famous Avril Lavigne conspiracy theory?

This viral bunch of slightly odd side-by-side pairings, however, are believed to be beyond accurate by the internet.

People have since flocked to Reddit in the r/popculturechat thread under a post titled: "Favourite celebrity lookalike?"

The post has since clocked up more than 600 comments from fans eager to weigh-in on who they believe to be the best celebrity lookalike pairings with the most uncanny resemblances.

Cillian Murphy was first on the chopping board.

Up first on the is the likes of Peaky Blinders and Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy being compared to the likes of Z from the 1998 family adventure classic, Antz.

In case you're not in the know - Z is an animated ant, voiced by Woody Allen, which many believe is a dead ringer for Murphy what with their matching smirk, hooded eyes and similar far-out facial expression.

The Oppenheimer star's supposed doppelgänger.

Next is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's Will Poulter, who many people believe looks exactly like Sid from Toy Story.

Not a lookalike many would be pleased to have I'd imagine.

But the bizarre comparison is nothing new, however, with the actor himself even dressing up as the fictional character one Halloween.

Poulter himself even acknowledged the similarities.

Recently, he explained his reasoning to GQ: "I did do it in light of some of the comparisons between me and Sid from Toy Story that were going around on the internet.

"I work with Anti-Bullying Pro and the Diana Award, I did it during anti-bullying week to raise awareness of that organisation.

"So that was that."

People haven't stopped banging on about this particular comparison.

Praising Poulter's costume choice, one Reddit user commented: "Self-aware king."

"He’s so real for this," penned another.

"Incredible." someone else said.

While third on the list is Ed Sheeran and a certain fellow redhead from the Rugrats, Chucky Finster.

And this comparison left a few Redditors in stitches.

"LMAO DON'T ITS TOO MUCH," hit out one Reddit user.

A second added the simple yet effective 'bruh' followed by a laughing face and skull emoji.

And the lookalikes only get more creative and, incredibly more niche, from there.

Fourth is the Statue of Liberty and Owen Wilson himself, followed by Alex the Lion from Madagascar and Jake Gyllenhaal.

And to be absolutely honest - I totally see the resemblance for both the Hollywood A-listers.

Fans have clearly got very creative with their likening.
Nickelodeon

'All of Me' singer, John Legend, has been liked to the titular character of the hit 90s animated series, Arthur, while YouTube sensation Logan Paul has been compared to The People's Princess, Diana.

"I’m going to hell for this," admitted the Reddit user who made the realisation.

A second echoed: "I need to go to bed. I'm going to wake the neighbours with all my laughing."

"Straight to JAIL lmao," commented a third.
