Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend Travis Scott fired a shot on Instagram at her new partner Timothee Chalamet after he lost Best Actor to Michael B Jordan Sunday evening.

Chalamet was arguably the most talked about topic throughout all of Oscars season with his comments about ballet and opera seeing the industry turn on the Marty Supreme actor.

Though this didn’t influence his loss, voting closed weeks before these comments went viral, Chalamet losing out to the Sinners star would still be considered an embarrassing loss for many for an actor who was seen as the frontrunner for much of the race.

With a promotional run for Dune 3 just around the corner however it appears Chalamet will be able to quickly move on from the Oscars loss, but not without a dig from Travis Scott on the way.

The 34-year-old rapper and Chalamet’s partner Kylie Jenner share two children and dated for four years across two relationships from 2017 to 2023.

Chalamet and Jenner have dated since 2023, with the Kardashian sister sitting front row alongside the Dune star at Sunday’s ceremony.

Scott appears to not be the biggest fan of his ex-girlfriend’s new partner however, posting a picture of Michael B Jordan’s emotional acceptance speech in a clear shot at Chalamet.

Whilst some have pointed out that he might simply be celebrating Jordan’s already-iconic win for his performance in Sinners, others suggested that it is also likely both a proud post for the actor and a shot at Chalamet.

One post on X said: “Okay, please this is so iconic lmao. Because tell me when was the last time Travis Scott cared about the Oscars?”

Another fan added: “Travis Scott is a professional hater I love it.”

This is not the first time that the rapper has dissed Chalamet either, including a line about the actor in his 2023 album Utopia.

During his song Meltdown Scott has lines referencing Willy Wonka, with Chalamet starring in prequel film Wonka that same year. He went on to tell a former partner to try to find ‘another flame as hot as [him], b*tch’.

Ultimately though Chalamet never responded to those comments and is unlikely to respond to Scott’s latest shot.

Despite online speculation claiming he would react negatively to losing the Oscar, several fans online have noted Chalamet’s gracious reaction to missing out, straight away jumping out his seat to give the Sinners actor a standing ovation.

Part of this goes back to the Dune star’s honesty in the past about losing Oscars with Marty Supreme marking his third loss in the category.

Speaking in the past Chalamet told Vogue: “If there’s five people at an awards show, and four people go home losing, you don’t think those four people are at the restaurant like, ‘Damn, we didn’t win?’”

Chalamet looks set to potentially be nominated for a fourth time next year, with Dune 3 releasing in December of this year, but will face tough competition from Matt Damon in The Odyssey and Tom Cruise’s return to dramas with Digger.
