Ed Sheeran Parties And Pulls Pints In Birmingham Pub On Sunday Afternoon

Ed Sheeran was filmed getting loud and enjoying a pint in a Birmingham pub, singing with locals around the pool table while knocking back a pint of lager. You can check out the footage taken on Sunday afternoon here:

Sheeran headed on down to a pub called The Roost in Birmingham’s Small Heath because he had a bit of time to kill and wanted to grab a pint and a game of pool with his friend, Small Heath rapper JayKae.

Sheeran seems to have been enjoying a bit of downtime in the area, and decided that he’d link with his friend and collaborator for a few pints and a wee singsong.

It looks pretty fun, to be quite honest.

Ian Connor, one of the managers of The Roost, told LADbible: “He was in the area and just popped in because he knows [rapper] Jaykae before and has done a few bits and pieces with him, and Jaykae comes in the pub himself because he's from Small Heath.

“So, the pair of them came in because he had an hour to spare and decided to have a couple of pints and a couple of games of pool.

“He was good as gold, wasn’t worried about anyone coming and saying hello to him or having pictures, he seemed to enjoy having the pictures taken.”

On whether Sheeran would be welcome to the pub, Connor said emphatically “100 percent, any time”.

They even managed to get Ed behind the bar and pouring a couple of pints – you can check out his technique below.

We can’t be exactly sure why Sheeran was in the area, but it’s likely that he’s getting some practice in at the Fly by Nite performance studios just outside Birmingham.

So, the production studio doesn’t usually give too much away as to who heads there to practice – which is potentially why it has been so successful – but it has been reported that stars such as Sheeran, Madonna, and Kylie Minogue have all used the space to shape up before a tour.

That might have been what placed Sheeran on this mini-Midlands pub crawl.

We can surmise this because he was also spotted wearing the same gear in another pub in nearby Redditch that same day.

Pictured with a pint of Stella, Sheeran was seen at a table in The King’s Arms, seemingly watching a football match.

It can’t be the easiest thing to just head on down to a local pub when you’re one of the biggest and most recognisable stars on the planet, but Sheeran seems to have managed it.

One fan commented: “Oh what an amazing guy he is they look like they are having a great old time cheers.”

Another wrote: “What a legend, biggest artist in the world, still so humble.”
